The Benito Juarez Market is one of my favorite places to shop in Oaxaca. Almost anything can be found here from clothing, shoes, t-shirt, herbs, flowers, produce, cheese, chocolate, mescal, shopping bags and spices. It's well worth the visit on any visit to Oaxaca! More

This is a neat market with a little bit of everything-- food stands, clothing, shoes, pinatas, handicrafts. You can get good carne asada and barbaque as well, and there's a nice torta stand with every kind of fruit drink you could possibly want! If you're food shopping this is one of the cheaper markets in the city. More

It's your regular market - clothes, leather accessories, and all kinds of stuff you wonder whether there are actually people buying them. Nice experience if you are into markets. More

We particularly enjoyed eating barbecued steak with guacamole and salsa. We also enjoyed soup from one of the ladies' stands. More

This is a great market, but not totally overwhelming like the Abastos market. We stopped here everyday and kept buying things, like a scarf, chocolate, baskets, pan dulces. We had lunch here at one of the stands. Also available: beef, chicken, vegetables, fruit. More

If you don't fancy going to the main market (Abastos), this is a good secondary option. It is full of color and interesting food items, as well as handicrafts. Beware of food vendors charging too much. Bargaining for handicrafts is acceptable here. More
