This cathedral is beautiful and free to walk through. If you are in the Zocalo area, why not stop in - check out the ornate details and different areas to pray.

The sheer size of this church is extremely impressive. I particularly liked seeing it in the morning light. Our guide pointed out the many aspects of the building that set it apart: its two organs, its sixteen chapels, its ornate altarpieces and its many statues and paintings. Over the years, the Cathedral has been shifting, since it was built on... More

Yuck. Nothing elegant about this place. Just an ostentatious display of bad taste. Don't bother going.

Stepped inside but did not stay because many parts were undergoing renovations and hidden from view by scaffolding. .

The Cathedral is a mix of many different time periods of when it was constructed and restored, so you can tell as you enter a change in time periods from the front to the back. Beautiful and evoking. Really worth a visit.
