We had a fantastic 3 days with Ruth. We came from no knowledge of Mexico City and its Cuisine to leaving with a love and appreciation of some of the best food tasted ever. The knowledge of the culture, food and city was extremely informative, here passion for the cuisine and energy made our trip absolutely brilliant. We didn't have... More

My husband planned an incredible trip for us to Mexico City this past December. Knowing my love for cooking, and especially my adoration for Mexican cuisine, he connected with Ruth who planned an absolutely memorable day for us. Both of us being vegetarian, she took care to research and prepare a delicious menu that educated us on the roots of... More

We were looking to do something different that really put us in touch with what life in Mexico City was like. My friend bought us a class with Ruth, and it was definitely the highlight of our trip! Ruth took us to an amazing market and took the time to explain absolutely everything to us, as well as translating for... More

We started the day with a tour of a fantastic market specIailing in flowers as well as fresh produce, meats, etc. Hard to resist the food vendors so we didn't. Great street tacos from some apparently famous Mexico City vendors in the market. After selecting the fresh ingredients for our meal, we went to Ruth's home and had a great... More

I had the opportunity to travel to Mexico City "D.F." for the first time in May. I have traveled to Mexico many times which has become my favorite place in the world. When I travel to Mexico, I love walking through the markets, walking into the local taquerias, and just losing myself in the amazing Mexican culture. So when I... More

Sometimes the unexpected turns a vacation into a lasting memory. I was in Mexico City in September 2011 for ten days. Three days before my return to Atlanta I noticed an announcement for Ruth's culinary tours. On a whim I called her to learn more. At the very last minute, she arranged a personal tour of the Xochimilco market and... More

Mexico City has so much to see and I would have missed most of it had it not been for Ruth. She recommended our lodging before we got there and we loved it! We toured the city , the markets, museums and great places to eat. We met the top chefs as they are her friends. She even took us... More

I suggest you take Ruth's tour of the Xochimilco market and the pyramids of Teotihuacan, at the minimum. These are two places you want to see but they're kind of a drag to get to and it's a treat to have Ruth explain the nuances and history that you might miss. Ruth is professional, fun and very reasonably priced. I... More

The day we spent with Ruth was such a great time, and we learned a lot about Mexican cooking. Afterward, the results were obvious in our own home kitchen. She's fun, has lots of energy, knows more about food and ingredients than any person should be capable of, and is extremely generous with her knowledge. We started by visiting a... More

Ruth is amazing. The space I have to write here cannot possibly encompass the many good things I could say about her. She is passionate about Mexican cuisine, completely knowledgeable of its culture, and considerate of her guests. We had an amazing time. The day began with a tour of Mercado Jamaica, a huge public market, where we bought all... More
