My office had a party on the rooftop and I really enjoyed the setting overlooking the zocalo. It's even better if the zocalo is decorated with lights for Independence Day or Christmas. Food, drinks, and service were all okay, but the view makes this place close to perfect.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect all around. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I loved the uniforms of the doormen. Freddy and Renato made us feel at home and were always gracious. The Tiffany glass in the lobby was awesome. Many people not staying at the hotel would stop by to check out the lobby.... More

We did not stay here but popped in to have a glass of wine in the afternoon. The view over the Zocalo is amazing and we had the good fortune of being their as the Dia de los Muertos was being set up. It was a great way to enjoy the excitement without the crowds.

I have been to several weddings here ... it is a popular place for weddings because the architecture is indeed very nice. However the food and service at the weddings has been below average.

We ate breakfast at the restaurant of this beautiful hotel. Great food and great service. The Hotel Lobby is amazing with the Pandora Stain Glass Roof, but the food was great as well. I had a traditional Mexican Breakfast, in one of the most historical hotels in Mexico. Amazing!

This place is a downtown landmark. It used to be a high end department store, but know a beautiful hotel with an amazing lobby. Worth the short visit if you are around.

Everyone must stop by this hotel on their visit to Central Historico. You can walk through the lobby, take pictures with the door man with the giant chandeliers. But the upstairs restaurant, La Terrazo, has magnificent views of the Zocalo. We were lucky enough to get a table by the edge, (mid afternoon, right before a concert was to start),... More

A lot of historic places rest on their laurels and figure that since they are historic, they can skimp on service. Not so with the Gran Hotel! First of all, the whole place is obviously very well maintained and kept in top shape. You are greeted with a glass of champagne upon check in, and then taken to your room... More

This hotel on the Zocalo is in a great location to see a historic part of Mexico. Most people will be wowed by the architecture when they arrive, especially the beautiful Tiffany glass ceiling. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice. They have a classic feel to them. There is a salon at the front, and... More
