The museum is well layed out to present the different eras and places inhabited by the various tribes . I have to say i got a little confused with all the different tribes but going through it with a guide helped to keep me interested. This musuem is excellent and has a huge number of displays and collections. I've spent 2 entire days zipping through the exhibits and taking pictures, but feel I'd still need more time to do it justice. You can hit the high points in about an hour, or spend days there. Simply exquisite. More

We should have set aside more time for the museum, since it is vast and covers so much. This is one of the highlights of Mexico City. The museum has an extraordinary collection recording the wonderful pre-Colombian history of Mexico. It is organized by civilization. Definitely do not miss the Mayan and Aztec collections. For me Pakal's funerary mask and other objects downstairs in the Mayan section is the absolute highlight. More
