This museum Has the complete history of our ancient history and for me is one in its own .I was called to take the guide course in order to qualify to be a guide to this Museum as I was studying to be a tourist guide from the Secretary of Turism in 1964. For me is one of the wonders... More

The museum is well layed out to present the different eras and places inhabited by the various tribes . I have to say i got a little confused with all the different tribes but going through it with a guide helped to keep me interested. The guide also pointed out the most important artefacts, whilst linking all the information together.... More

This place is huge! The audio tour desk has a map of the museum with the best rooms highlighted. Unless you have 2-3 days to devote to this location, stick to the recommendations. More

The many rooms of the history of Mexico through the archeological finds and the wonderful displays was fascinating. It would take many hours in many days to thoroughly capture what is presented. It is a must-see for people visiting Mexico. More

This musuem is excellent and has a huge number of displays and collections. I've spent 2 entire days zipping through the exhibits and taking pictures, but feel I'd still need more time to do it justice. You can hit the high points in about an hour, or spend days there. Simply exquisite. More

We should have set aside more time for the museum, since it is vast and covers so much. The lower floor is pre-Columbian history and artifacts, including famous Aztec and Maya pieces that we've only seen in books. The second floor has contemporary cultures, including clothing and art. The beautiful fountain in the middle that rains from the ceiling wasn't... More

This is one of the highlights of Mexico City. The museum has an extraordinary collection recording the wonderful pre-Colombian history of Mexico. It is organized by civilization. Definitely do not miss the Mayan and Aztec collections. For me Pakal's funerary mask and other objects downstairs in the Mayan section is the absolute highlight. More

It is a huge museum, very well organized and explained. The best way to do it is with audio guides. The Aztec and Mayan exhibition halls are the most important ones. The upper floors have detailed exhibits of the different Mexican and Central American cultures. One needs about 4 hours to see most of it in a fairly way. The... More
