The building is itself history. The rooms, and stairways are old but beautiful. Not too many people know that there are two physicists in the roof who will shoe the stars, planets and constellations using the school telescope, all for free!

University steps easy to find; no access to university. So if interested in architecture see Art Nouveau house in G. on paseo de la Presa, not nearby, but worth a taxi to see. It's filled now with shops and restaurants but art nouveau glass and wood doors and salon with 24 ft high ceilings (see it upstairs) are fascinating and... More

The stairs leading up to the University historic building is a lovely corner in the centre of the town without the hassle and the crowds. Everyone takes a picture there with their group and enjoys the unpolluted white in its walls (I guess they paint it every so often...). Nice place for a break in your rambling around town.

Definitely a mandatory visit in Guanajuato: find it by walking around the narrow streets of the city, discover its massive façade and go up through its stone stairs. Have a coffee or a beer in the surrounding bars afterwards, and enjoy the student atmosphere of the neighborhood.

The building stands tall, proud and beautiful despite its age. From afar, it looks like a castle. I only saw the exterior, so I'm not sure how it looks inside. However, it's worth seeing, even for a brief moment.

Impressibe and traditional building in the center of the town. If you are visiting the center, take the time to stop by between two narrow streets and admire this piece of art.

Once you made it up the staircase leading to the main entrance of the university you'll be rewarded with an excellent photo-spot and background to take all the pics you need to make people back home envious. The recently polished surface of the structure just adds more to the whole scenery
