Nice place to spend the afternoon. If you are visiting Guadalajara for an extended period of time then you will probably want to break away from the congestion for a while. Primavera is an easy 45 minute local bus ride (#729) out of the city. It is a great place to take in some clean, fresh air while hiking through... More

As a resident of the Bosques de la Primavera I can assure you that this place is "heaven on earth". I live on the Eastern edge of the forest in Zapopan, and we made a point of making this lovely property our permanent home. From here, we have a spectacular view to the West with nothing but the mountains and... More

We asked at the tourist office and got the number of the appropriate bus from downtown Guadalajara (6 pesos). It took about an hour to get to the small town off the highway, and then it was a 20 minute walk to the park gate (5 pesos). From there, we walked three km to the Río Caliente, a pleasant stroll... This place is amazing, it's almost unrealistic the fact that it is only like 5 min away from the city. Gorgeous sights.

Having grown up in the land of the well maintained provincial parks of Canada I was disappointed by the lost potential of this beautiful part of Guadalajara. It is a sadly neglected place whose better maintenance and a more imaginative use of space could raise it to a world class city park. I compare it to Stanley Park in Vancouver,... More

This is one of the hidden places in the middle of Guadalajara, that still preserves all its natural beauty. Ideal for joggers, walkers, pets, kids.....you can ride horses as well. You cannot miss it!

Good facilities at the front of the park but near the springs we had to spread blankets on a hill. Not very comfortable. Needs more tables, benches and banos

over a year ago, the park which is very, very large had a bad fire. It was brought under control and it has taken a while, but mother nature has it's way of cleaning house and rejuvenating it's forests. This is Mexico, so things grow so much faster than other parts of the world! May trails have been restored for walks... More
