I have been in Tequila more than once, but this was my first time taking the Tequila Express (train). I should say that this tour doesn't go to Tequila town, but to Amatitán (near Tequila) where the Casa Herradura is. It's a very different experience rather than taking a bus or a shuttle. There is an open bar all the... More

We called three days in advance and booked 6 reservations, they would pick us up at our hotel and take us to the train station..however when the shuttle got to our hotel they told us that they did not have tickets for us (thank you very much) we ended up taking another tour to tequila Why didn't they just told... I went with friends, 17 of us total. It was a fun experience, we sang, drank and had an awesome time enjoying Mexican food, drinks and music! The tequila Herradura factory is very beautiful. The staff on the train is very professional and helpful. The singers are excellent, the mariachi are so much fun. This experience was definitely worth every... More

We had a great time on the Tequila Express. Worth every peso for a long day of good times. The tequila (also beer and soft drinks) flowed from the moment we left the station in Guadalajara. The tour consisted mostly of Mexican or Spanish speaking tourists. Everything was in Spanish, no problem for us. I do not know if any... More

It said to come after a hearty breakfast, so we did; the Hotel Morales has a fine, all you can eat food-bar for $9 Can/$7 US, and they lost money on us. The taxi took us to the train station where there were hundreds of people waiting in line to get the boarding pass. I had foreseen the likelihood of... More

Depending on the exchange rate at the time, this will cost you $94-100. It is well worth it for foreigners; a little pricey for Mexicans who earn wages in pesos. Book on the website or at the station. Marriachis play all day for you - at the train station, in the train, and at lunch. Charros (the cowboys who do... More

The experience starts right from the moment one steps onto the train (Tequila Express). Well appointed wooden dining tables, with 3 flavours (maturity) of tequila welcome you. The train cruises through a leisurely pace across the countryside and reaches Tequila town in about 2 hours. Tequila is unlimited on the train trip and you the train conductors (a bunch of... More

Yes, this excursion is pricey but it was very well organised full of music, Tequila and interesting facts. There is a one hour wait for the train but they fill it full of live Mariachi and photo ops with the band. The countryside is stunning and there is free Tequila, beer and soft drinks there and back. The Mariachi Band... More

Very expensive for what you get. After one hour waiting, finally you take the train, then after two hours travel they make you wait for more than 30 minutes in the sun. There where 5 wagons and the 1st and 2nd where the last to get on the tour, to much waiting time. And because all that you are late... More
