The experience starts right from the moment one steps onto the train (Tequila Express). Well appointed wooden dining tables, with 3 flavours (maturity) of tequila welcome you. The train cruises through a leisurely pace across the countryside and reaches Tequila town in about 2 hours. Tequila is unlimited on the train trip and you the train conductors (a bunch of... More

Yes, this excursion is pricey but it was very well organised full of music, Tequila and interesting facts. There is a one hour wait for the train but they fill it full of live Mariachi and photo ops with the band. The countryside is stunning and there is free Tequila, beer and soft drinks there and back. The Mariachi Band... More

Very expensive for what you get. After one hour waiting, finally you take the train, then after two hours travel they make you wait for more than 30 minutes in the sun. There where 5 wagons and the 1st and 2nd where the last to get on the tour, to much waiting time. And because all that you are late... More

If You Want FUN Step Aboard the Tequila Express! Even with two young children this day trip to the Herradura factory was a huge amount of fun! Mariachi, tequila drinks, a train winding through a spectacular Mexican countryside, more tequila, a tequila tour (also available in English), a tasty buffet lunch, a traditional Mexican dance and charrarería show followed by... A friend and I went on this trip this past weekend. I had heard how much fun it was, and that it offered a lot for the price. Well, our trip, through a travel agency, ended up costing 1800 pesos each from Ajijic, and we didn't feel it was worth the price. First of all, there was a really nice... More

A true Mexican day: mariachi all day long, great tequila, great tacos, folkloric dance show! The tour in the Herradura factory was also very interesting and informative. I found the ticket a bit expensive but after the tour I can say that it was totally worth it!

I was just looking at my Mexico pictures and this was my favorite day. From the time you board the train and the Mariachi band starts playing to the show at the agave fields and buffet, on the way back I finally had a shot of tequila before that I was drinking tequila coolers. The price 7 years ago was... More

We opted NOT to take the train this time, so we could take a lugubrious pace and save our taste buds. It is an hour to an hour and a half depending on the driver and which road you take into it via an auto/driver. We went to three different Tequila Houses to scope them out, prior to choosing one... Many options to visit Tequila for tours...vans etc. The Train was a great experience! A little pricey: $100 USD per person. Book online. But, it is all inclusive! Mixed tequila drinks on the train or tastings of various tequilas on the train. Mariachis before, during and after. Good Mexican buffet...tacos and salad bar. Again, unlimited beverage options. The highlight however,... More

amazing tour, definitely a must in Guadalajara. we took the train from Jose Cuervo, fully recommended, they provide all day tequila of the best quality and give you a lesson on tasting and knowing how to properly drink it. The tour of the process is very interesting and after you get a great show of local dances and good food.
