This place is popular for weddings and picutre taking! Everytime I saw the place there were lots of vendor in the first third of the plaza in front of the church. Polyglot Guadalajara meets in the El Fenix restaurant bar that borders the churh plaza, opposite the churh's main entrance. At about 15 or 10 minutes before the hour (at... More

It is worth a visit to see the beautiful interior of this church. And it is right behind a lovely University building which has a nice art display

Stunningly beautiful Neo-Gothic architecture, built during the presidency of Don Porfirio Diaz by an italian architect who after this, built Bellas Artes in the capital.

This catholic church features a neo-Gothic style and is considered the greatest work of its kind in Mexico. Its construction began on August 15, 1897 and ended 75 years later in 1972.

Fabulous architecture and beautiful windows. There was a wedding there when we visited and it was so nice to see a beautiful building being used. Was there just before the hour so saw the procession of religious figures before the clock struck the hour, very clever.

Don't miss Christ and the disciples coming out of the clock at certain times of the day. I believe it is the only Gothic Style church in Guadalajara.

I liked it; it was worth going FOR ME because I like architecture and gloomy places. I took baroque art in college and I liked applying my knowledge to it. I even sat through 20 minutes of mass (I am an atheist, mind you). I took lots of pics and then I left to see some murals at the University.... More

Actually, a very nice baroque style that does not alter from the plans like the one downtown. This had more pronounced art windows if you could hold your head back that far!
