I had a great time walking around the Centro Historico on a Sunday. Seemed like half of Guadalajara was enjoying the day there with their families. The outside of the cathedral is gorgeous but I wasn't particularly impressed with the interior.

We visited Guadalajara during Holy Week. I am not catholic nor is my Spanish up to par but we attended a Easter Mass and it was a fantastic experience. The mood, the building everything. Make sure you at least take the time to walk in but if you have time attend a service. Would return.

We visited this wonderful Cathedral on a late Sunday Afternoon/Early Evening. The structure is awe inspiring. Although we are not Catholic, it was worth the visit. We arrived just as mass was finishing. We spent 15-25 minutes viewing the beauty. Our hosts gave us a history lesson on the Catedral. I'd advise you find someone who knows about the history... More

Stunning interior of Guadalajara Catedral. A must visit to see this magnificents structure. Just keep in mind, do not take photos when a mass is in progress, as Mexicans find this offensive. If there is no mass going on, feel free to roam around and click away!

The cathedral actually comprises more than one "church." The architecture is awe-inspiring. While there, be sure to not miss "la Santa Inocencia." On Sundays, the Cathedral is very crowded, as masses are held; so, keep that in mind when planning your visit.

the cathedral is impressive facade and the interior is nice... nothing to spend a lot of time exploring. The plazas around the cathedral are the focus of the city.... great for sitting and people watching.... usually a concert in the early evening.... great area for a stroll.

About as close to European style as you will find this side of the "pond". A functioning church full of history and amazing art. The poor and begging folks at the door to the church ought to remind you of what the building truly represents.

You cannot come to Guadalajara and miss the Catedral. It is the city's emblematic landmark. And you cannot get lost in GDL because the Cathedral will help you find your way. Beautiful architecture, beautiful plazas, and beautiful backdrop.
