It provides great shade for those hot sunny days when you want to be out in nature, has some good running paths (although their are a lot of hills), has many activities for kids, and is overall a great place for a picnic. My only complaint is that they don't... More

Nice and large park which offers a few very nice options for walking, jogging or running and just to escape the city for a while. Colomos I, which is easier to get to though Providencia, behind the Unidad Deportiva Revolucion, has concrete walking roads around a set of very nice full of trees and shaded garden areas, the Japanese garden... We had two parks on either side of where we stayed in Guadalajara to exercise in. But for a long run and safe bike riding this is the place. I did not know it existed until our host told us about it. A Japanese garden and lots of forested areas.

My husband took me here as a respite from the manufactured-ness of the city. Thank. God. This little park is a much-needed piece of green inside an otherwise not-so-green city. This is a really cool place to have an encounter with the nature. You can run and see a lot of squirrels and ducks.

It very beautiful and with different scenes: a small lake, Japanese garden, Mexican garden, a nice posh running trail and a forest-like running trail. The entrance is free on Sundays, but go early to it gets crowded

This is a beautiful park, one of the few in Guadalajara. A nice setting for relaxing, or jogging. Horse back riding also available.

I lived in Guadalajara for twelve years previously and discovered the Bosque Colomos. Upon every return trip to Guadalajara a return visit is a must. The park contains acres of woods and running and hiking trails that are of an excellent quality. There are also exercise machines if your wish to do some stretching of muscles in several locations.
