I visit there with my friends after a long tiring week. Its a good place if you are looking for traditional handicrafts and local cuisines. There are good options for food and shopping. We reached there around 12 PM and spent 3-4 hrs. This is good place for various fun activities and even most of time they plan stage shows... More

The expo runs on weekends and features native people selling transitional handicrafts. A bit of haggling is required, but you need to know Spanish to be able to do that. Else just relish the street market experience and pick up a good souvenir

I visited the Expo Ferretera. We attended the first day and arrived at the start. They were not quite ready for the 10:00 start, which is annoying, but probable somewhat common. The various rooms were well laid out and organized. Some empty booths. Food was available in the upstairs pavilion which I had not seen before. Food vendors were limited,... More

I visited last year the International Book Fair (Feria International del Libro) hosted by Expo Guadalajara and from my point of view is the second best in the world (after Frankfurt). I found many editors and books from other countries that would be very difficult to find in Mexico, and the Cultural activities where beyond my expectations.

A large, modern convention center, at par with any of the large ones in major cities around the world. Efficient and clean. We visited for the Expo Ferretera (Hardware Show) at the end of August. Several hotels around the CC are convenient to avoid any traffic. Positively impressed.

I had reason to tour the convention center and felt that it was very much on par with many of the centers I have worked in and visited around the country. The building is modern and efficiently run. There is great attention to keeping the public areas and restrooms quite clean and I found that impressive. The building is large... More

This is such a huge and gigantic place, that very few of the larger events can actually fill it. I attended the 28 FICG, one of the largest international films festivals in the world, with more than 3000 people attending, and still, only a fraction of the space was used. The place can hold several large exhibits at once, plus... More

The revamp of this huge exposition center breathes life into the economy of this city. There are several event here yearly, including the world famous International Book Fair in late November, which is the second largest in the world, after Frankfurt, Germany.

I just came back from the Feria Internacional de Libro. This is a yearly event in a huge exhibition area. If it's not there, it doesn't exist in Spanish. Chile was the guest of honor this year and participated with a very nice pavilion, lots of books, interesting side activities, talks, etc. Every editorial house is there, from the most... More
