I am from Zapopan Just a few streets of the basilica and I am glad to recomend you to go and visit this place, specialy in october 12 when our LADY OF ZAPOPAN comes from La Catedral of Guadalajara aprox. 18km. and we all walk thogeder with her untill she arives to her basilic. You will have many stores options... more

Zapopan is a great place to visit especially the "Basilica". It is very small but it has tremendous history that will last forever. It is great!! My highest recommendation... more

The basilica is one of the wonderful attractions in Zapopan, I loved the wonderful displays in the chruch itself and the excellent cantera walls. The cantera makes it so original because the cantera was taken from the ground itself that surrounds Zapopan. The Basilica is beautiful, but the biggest impression was how picturesque the streets of old Zapopan were, with small shops and trees, it is very beautiful and worth the trip to visit!! -- Petri Holopainen more
