DO NOT USE GOOGLE MAPS TO FIND THE CEMETERY. I just left Guadalajara today and am currently on my way home. Two days ago I decided to walk to the cemetery (maps told me it was a 2 hour walk but I was up for that). Everything was fine until I got really close to the destination and then nothing... More

This could have been a cool place to visit, but you have to take part in a tour to see the cemetery, you can't just wander. The tours are only in Spanish, so if you are an English speaker it can be quite boring. The tours are an hour long and start at the hour. The hours are a little... More

Seemed like a good idea for a group of people. I wish I would have done the night tour as it may have added a little extra. I don't really enjoy guided tours with large groups and this was no exception. Still interesting to visit.

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor, my family planned a ghost tour at Belen for a night of our visit. We were disappointed to discover that they had fired their only English speaking employee on staff. Everyone in my family can speak and understand Spanish, so we thought it would be fine, we would just do the tour in Spanish.... More

I visited Panteon de Belen with my Fiance without any prior knowledge of this cemetery or it's history! I have to say that the tour guide was top knotch! He was very excellent because I was the only English speaker in the tour group, he would translate and tell the history and stories in english after he explained in spanish.... More

Every city has its own ghosts stories, and Guadalajara is not the exception, but in particular you should attend to the night visits in the "Panteon de Belen"

The Panteón is being repaired, especially to even walking surfaces. I lucked out today and found a docent who was willing to explain some of the history from near the gate, and when friends of another docent arrived for a tour, I was invited to join the little group. It was one of the most comprehensive and informative cemetery tours... More

a really beautiful place, lots of interesting graves and niches, lots of horror stories to be heard during the guided tours.

What a wonderful adventure. Tour this historical cemetery - by day or night. Be sure to take a translator though. The cemetery is rich with history - including a story of a vampire. It is NOT scary. I'll be going back in the day during my next trip.
