What a wonderful adventure. Tour this historical cemetery - by day or night. Be sure to take a translator though. The cemetery is rich with history - including a story of a vampire. It is NOT scary. I'll be going back in the day during my next trip.

Only not sure if they have tours in English. Worth researching!!!! Otherwise, just go with a Spanish speaking friend.
I enjoy very old cemeteries. This one is a great one. There are others-less commercialized, and free of charge- but it is easier to get to for the downtown tourist.
The night tour of this historic graveyard is worth the time and small fee. Our tour Guide was well informed and quick to respond to questions
No longer taking new entrants but they have tours (day and night) to take you through the cemetery and give a history of times past. Somewhat run-down in places due to the age but you are able to see how spectacular it must have been a hundred and more years ago.
I have to say this was one of my favorite attractions in Guadalajara. It is an old cemetery that was built in 1848 and is full of legends, folklore and is very beautiful! It has been converted into a museum and they offer free guided tours (in Spanish of course). I read up on many of the legends beforehand so...
