My favorite place to spend the day relaxing in Zihua is at Otilia's at Las Gatas. It is the second restaurant from the end of the cove. Franco speaks excellent English and will entertain you all day. The food and cold beer there are excellent. You can also rent snorkel equiptment there for $4. Just another "Day in Paradise"! more

We went at 9:00 am to las gatas to miss the crowds, when we got there there weren't too many people, mostly workers setting up for the day. Let me start by saying we visited Las Gatas during the off season so there were no crows to deal with or water taxi lines. We also were not charged to sit down or use any of the lounge chases. Once we got to the beach we were haggled to tip the kids standing by the water taxi ramp. Just... more

Las Gatas was by far the worst experience of our trip. (Read trilinearmipmap's comments for additional info).
