So peaceful and beautiful, go if you want to chill for the day, drink pina coladas and get away from the crowds. Be prepared for people selling things. Just buy a few then say no thanks. Stuff is so cheap. Guacamole bowl anyone?

After dinner at Las Palmas, my wife and I relaxed on the big adult swinging bed on the beach, drinking a vodka tonic, watched the sun set into the pacific and BOTH of us saw the Green Flash! Wow!

Everything is quiet & calm on this beach .... except for the waves! This isn't a swimming beach but if you want miles of lovely sand beach to walk; watch dolphins & whales play; see baby turtles being released; & watch fishermen with their nets ... this is the beach to spend time at. Caution tho .... restaurants are limited... More

17km of deserted beach! Soft, soft white sand! We camped at the Marlin Seafood Restaurant - about 20 mins from downtown Zihuatanejo...Waves were a bit high for swimming sometimes, but the views and sunsets are spectacular

Great beach to walk for miles along with Barra de Potsie Beach which is about 5 miles of beautiful beach walking and great body surfing fun.

Long stretch of white sand and thundering surf. Some simple rustic restaurants along the shore. Have a beer or lemonade with your feet in the sand.

Great ocean to play in and walk. We walked about 2.5 miles out. Quiet. Private. Bring water to drink while you are walking. Not any places to stop at. We saw several dolphins one day and another day we say whales. Cool experience!!

I almost don't want to write about this place, because it is so special and it would be a shame if it were to be"discovered" Playa Blanca/Barra de Potosi. really is a Paradise, authentic, safe unspoiled -miles of white sand beach warm Pacific waters, fabulous views and enramadas (beachfront seafood restaurants) in the village of Barra de Potosi. So easy... More

We drove out here one day for lunch, there are some really fantastic family run restaurants on the beach. We had lunch at Euramada Teresita Desde which was amazing. The beach its self is out of this world, with its tranquil setting, just miles of white sand in this very quiet place. It’s wonderful that’s its not overrun with great... More

Recently back (early April) from a return visit to Playa Blanca/Barra de Potosi. "Slice of Paradise" may be an overused phrase but certainly not to describe this incredible, unspoiled 10-mile stretch of white sand beach with its warm, swimmable water, breathtaking views and delightful enramadas (beachfront seafood restaurants) in the village of Barra de Potosi. Most difficult to believe is... More
