We drove out here one day for lunch, there are some really fantastic family run restaurants on the beach. We had lunch at Euramada Teresita Desde which was amazing. The beach its self is out of this world, with its tranquil setting, just miles of white sand in this very quiet place. It’s wonderful that’s its not overrun with great... More

Recently back (early April) from a return visit to Playa Blanca/Barra de Potosi. "Slice of Paradise" may be an overused phrase but certainly not to describe this incredible, unspoiled 10-mile stretch of white sand beach with its warm, swimmable water, breathtaking views and delightful enramadas (beachfront seafood restaurants) in the village of Barra de Potosi. Most difficult to believe is... More

Clean and low profile . Authentic and original . Walkable and swimmable . Talk about swimming and walking : a swim at sunrise in this protected bay is as close a heavenly dip as anyone can imagine . Floating in a perfect temperature water ,birds flying over head with their bellies pink from the rising sun ,cocooned by the hills... More

Ten miles of unspoiled white sand beach just ten minutes from an international airport. I didn't believe it was still possible to find a place like this. I found this site that has good directions on how to get there by bus- http://barradepotosidirectionsto.jimdo.com/. The enramada restaurants in the village at he south end sit right on the sand and have... More

We went to Petatlan in the morning, following directions from a Trip Advisor suggestion, which turned out to be interesting - nothing too great. Then, we took a Barra la Petosi and ate there - interesting but a bit overrun! Then, we walked down the beach, for about an hour, thinking that we might be able to find something in... More

Our group of 8 spent the day at Playa Blanca and had lunch at a condo complex. Playa Blanca is a beautiful stretch of beach. The water doesn't seem swimmable though, rip currents.

We have been there many times and with different people. It is a little hidden paradise. We love going there on Sunday for lunch. The place is amazing. The service is excellent, the food is great and the service is great and friendly. It is worth the trip. It used to be a beautiful hotel but they are building condos... More

We were 5 days on Playa Blanca in mid April. It was low season and also the dry season just before the rains come so we had all 15 miles of Playa Blanca pretty much to ourselves. The weather was fabulous - high 80's, strong sun, slight haze from the brush fires in the hills. A great time to visit... More

We visited early in June and the water level at the lagoon was very low - they were playing soccer where the lagoon normally is! LOL! Nothing wrong with that, but it would probably be more fun for the average tourist when there is water in the lagoon and you can use the kayaks, et al. We did take a... More
