It costs about $7 to get in. They have every animal known to man kind, or so it seems. It is shaded by the trees which makes it a nice break from the hot sun. Only takes about an hour to work your way around the entire place. Beautiful scenery along the road to get there. There is LOTS there... More

The animals are not happy. Expensive for you get. There is no reason they could not fix the place up a bit. The only happy animals are less than 5 months old. Close this Zoo More

I had been here once before but only got to spend an hour there on a tour so came back this trip with my friend. They have really done quite a bit to improve the zoo and yes, it isn't a glamorous zoo but you get to be up close and personal with the animals. From having a giraffe eat... More

I really enjoyed the Vallarta Zoo. To get to the zoo we drove, I followed the signs off of the highway, then we drove on a back road for awhile, I thought that I was lost! so I asked this boy for directions, he said"keep going ". After we got there I realize that it is the perfect location for... More

We had such a good time here we had to go spend a second day at the zoo. It was so easy to take the bus to Mismaloya and was clearly marked from there to walk the rest of the way. You can actually feed all the animals and there is staff around who help out with hints on good... More

Not a fan of how the animals are kept, but feel the same way in the states at any zoo. Opportunity to play w/ baby tigers and monkeys is what my rating is based on. More

Getting into the zoo isn't too expensive but if you want to get the bag of food so you can feed the animals it does cost a bit. The zoo itself is somewhat well maintained. The tigers were running around and playin which was nice since the zoos at home always have the tigers sleeping. Holding the baby lion and... More

We visited the Zoo twice on our last trip to Vallarta (Oct 2011) and will definately be back there October of this year as well.... Yes, it isnt nice to see animals in cages but none of these animals seem to be hurt or starving or abused. Thye are all your friends when you are feeding them, except the grey... More

My 14 and 16 year old aren't much for Zoos, but this became the memorable part of our stay. It was a little hard to find: go to Mismaloya beach and just before the curve you go left, in land, toward the zip line, and tasting areas. Pricing: http://www.zoologicodevallarta.com/zooi.html Prices seem to be set by the person behind the counter,... More
