Located at Km. 24 on The Palms to Pines Scenic Highway, just 30 minutes from Old Town. To arrive on your own using public transportation, Please take the "El Tuito" bus at the corner of Aguacate and Carranza in the Romantic Zone. The bus will bring you to our entrance and back to Puerto Vallarta or you may take a taxi. Orchid Conservatory, Tree Fern Grotto, Jungle Trails, Native Mexican Plant Collection, Palm Collection, Tropical Fruit Trees, Bird Watching, Butterfly Gardens, Cool Sierra Madre Mountain Breezes, Mountain River Swimming, ATV Tours, Gift Shop and Plant Sales, Tequila Tasting, Vallarta's most-popular destination restaurant, Hacienda de Oro, Famous for brick-oven pizza & Fine Mexican Food, dining in the mountains overlooking the river and the gardens! This was our first visit the to the Botanical Gardens and we would go back again. We arrived too late in the day to enjoy everything. I would recommend arriving early to avoid the heat so you can enjoy the beauty of the gardens. You can also do a lot of bird watching at the gardens. Wear comfortable walking shoes,...

Most people wouldn't think that while on a beachy vacation you should visit a botanical garden in the hills away from the beach. El Tuito bus takes you there for 20 pesos. Trails are easy. Flowers, birds, and butterflies everywhere. The Hacienda de Oro restaurant has good food and a lovely view. Don't miss it!
