This was our 3rd visit to Puerto Vallarta for my husband and myself, but our first with our 1 year old son. We were looking for things to do with him and saw the good reviews on TA, checked out the website and went for it. We took the bus from Conchas Chinas to the Botanical Gardens it was $2... more

With people parasailing and enjoying late nights in the night clubs, I don't think many people realize just what a nice experience can be had at the Botanical Gardens. If you want a peaceful day, where you can walk around with your spouse or friends then you should give it a try. It was a slightly overcast day, so instead... more

The Botanical Gardens of Vallarta is actually a 501 (3) (c) non-profit with a mission of protecting the myriad of endangered native plants from around Mexico. The fun side of this is that you can take a self-guided tour around the grounds and enjoy the sights, sounds, and fragrances of this unique mountainous jungle. We took my elderly mother-in-law, even... more

There was a dog on the premises that was basically our tour guide. It was pretty funny. He went on all of the trails with us and led the... more

I want to agree with everything the Las Vegas people said. It was a bit of an adventure getting there on the bus, but fun and cheap. We ate at the restaurant and loved the salad with goat cheese- the pizza was just Ok, but they have lots of other options. My daughter said "if she was a celebrity she... more

The Botanical Gardens are south of PV on Highway 200 and the best kept secret in PV. Admission is 30 pesos ($3.00) per person. The gardens have been open about 18 months and are still growing. Surrounding the Plantation House are a blue agave garden, orchids, rose, cacti, indigenous plants of every color, and a shade garden. The shade garden... more
