We stay at Villa del Palmar - Flamingos in Nuevo Vallarta at least once a year so we go to Bucerias often. We walk down the beach for breakfast almost every day. Our favorites for breakfast are Karen's Place on the beach, and also The Red Apple on Lazaro Cardenas. The Red Apple is on the third floor above some... more

My husband and I went to Bucerias the day after we arrived in Vallarta and it was absolutely DEAD. We sat a a restaurant on the beach in lounge chairs drinking Corona's and the only people we saw were the vendors. Because it was so dead we got some really good deals, and of course we bought some bracelets that... more

No this is not a review but when I get back from my trip I will write one. I have been checking this daily for over a month and no reviews. SO just as soon as I get back I will be sure to post one! I am so looking forward to my trip. I am staying at the Riu... more

We walked to Bucerias the first time we went and almost didn't make it. We walked almost 2 hours in the heat with two kids and thought we were going to die. Well, IT WAS WORTH IT! The Flea Market here is vastly better than going to Down Town PuertoVallarta. They are not as pushy, are more willing to barter,... more

Highly recommend eating at Meson Bay in Bucerias. Truly a find. The ceviche was incredible, the drinks were great and the dinner was fabulous (enjoyed the lobster). The waiters were fun, awesome service and made the dining experience one to remember. Meson Bay overlooks the water (basically right on the beach). Prices were not crazy either, which was nice. It... more

On our final full day while vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, we decided to take the bus to Bucerias because we heard the beaches were better, it was much quieter and you could bargain on souvenirs more. We took the bus from the Malecon to Walmart then hopped on a bus to Bucerias-took about an hour. Walked across the street towards... more

We spent 5 days in Bucerias at a condo on the south end of town two and a half blocks (and one big hill) from the Bay and about 10 blocks from town center. Having been to PV a few times - we wanted to try some place different and quieter. We found it in Bucerias. The beach and water... more

Bucerias is a great town, not well known in comparison to PV. Want to know where the Best of Bucerias is? Restaurants are really good with live talent ranging from Jazz to Latin music, locals extremely friendly, better beaches and a quieter atmosphere. The town is laid back, the pace more relaxing. There is so much more, not sure where... more

The nearest good shopping and dining from Nuevo Vallarta's resort row is to the north, in the town of Bucerias, a U.S. $7 cab ride from the Riu, or U.S. $1.50 on the ATM bus from anywhere in Nuevo Vallarta. The main commercial strip by the highway in Bucerias is kind of junky-looking, but this is where you’ll find the... more
