Worth the walk or taxi ride!

Great town, good restaurants. Went there several times. Ate at the Red Apple. Food was excellent! Very safe. Outside flea market.

We took a trip to Bucerias one afternoon and it was amazing all the vendors that had shops set up just like a little town. We got some great bargains there and then walked along the beach restaurants and had a drink and later picked one out to eat at right on the beach. It was a neat experience.

Our visit to Bucerias was good. We wanted to get out of Puerto Vallarta and see a less tourist-y place. We rode the bus from PV, and that was an adventure in itself. Good way to see the little towns in between. I also got to practice my limited Spanish asking a variety of other passengers "is this the stop... More

The market is within walking distance or a short cab ride away from all the resorts. There are enough vendors that you will find whatever gift or souvenir you want, but not so big that it takes too long. An hour or 2 is plenty. Be sure to barter for a good deal. We chose to return to our resort... More

Rode horse thru the back jungle area with great views of Bucarias. Great fun. Irritated at myself for not checking out the beach. But really got to see the homes from a great vantage point on the horse

I was booking a trip to Puerto Vallarta & decided on Royal Decameron. I then discovered it was in the town of Bucerias!! At first I was irritated, but, after I got to researching the area, I was excited!! It is a world away from P.V. It is very safe to walk along the beaches & the main thoroughfares!! It... More

Bucerias has a small flea market on Sundays right on the beach. The goods are not great, but the vendors are friendly and often humorous. People-watching is even better. Check the merchandise. Some comes from India.

Last year we stayed in a resort in Bucerias. This year we decided to stay closer to old town PV. During our stay, we missed the small town quaint feeling we got in Bucerias, and took cab ride there for the day. Still breathtaking beautiful !!!. We noticed the changes/ upgrades they have made in the town square, fabulous!!. The... More
