My wife and I visited Bucerias, based on tripadvisor reviews. Supposed to be small fishing village type town, but was not. Nothing there to speak of, other than a small flea market type shopping area, with VERY aggressive employees. The plaza is small, and as the overall visit was--a disappointment. Just spend more time on the Malecon in Vallarta if... More

If you are needing souvenirs or would just like to shop. I highly recommend coming here. If you are staying at the Rui Jalisco or in that area it is only a 30min. beach walk or a 10/15 min car ride. There are shops and shops as far as the eye can see and packed to the brim of all... More

Revisiting after twelve years it still has the large flea market , great beaches and good restaurants, however it is losing its quaint Mexican village look as it gets more bars restaurants etc

Kind vendors, great deals and wide range of products in all the shops, worth the trip. Plus right on a beach and not quite as far as Old Vallarta from Nuevo Vallarta.

Shop the little local market in bucerias and bargain to get the best price. Then cross the bridge and walk a block to sandrinas for an awesome dinner. They have the best key lime pie you have ever had. The food is unique and special and the setting is unbeatable. We never miss a chance to visit bucerias.

This is the place if you are shopping for gifts to bring home. Wanted to purchase some glassware and found it for less than half of the price of the markets in Puerto Vallerta. Some of the vendors are overly persistent but manageable.

Bucerias is the place to be. From the marketplace to the restaurants, the beach to the church, it's all wonderful. We've been there 5 times now and can never get enough.

They had the best fresh guacamole and homemade tortillas. Not to mention the pineapple margarita, YUMMY

Good place to get some inexpensive gifts to bring home. Friendly vendors that aren't overly pushy. Nice beachfront restaurants to sit and eat on the beach or inside. Easy cab service available or just walk up to the road and catch the city bus for 10 pesos, all part of the experience of Mexico.
