IF you want to walk around flea market stalls- then the place is ok. Nice long beach, but not much else

Bucerias used to be a quiet, sleepy, fun village & is now an animated, lively, but still fun village to visit on your way out to Punta Mita & the lovely resorts on this coastal delight.

Not as touristy as Puerto Vallarta but nice beach restaurants more reasonably priced. About 40 minutes from Old Town in Puerto Vallarta.

This a quaint village for a visit. The main square is where you want to head to and just explore. The first restaurant on the right when looking at the beach is a pass.

We love Bucerias. If you go to the markets, remember that the first vendor pays more rent, and has to charge more. They have more room to move on prices.

Small town, low key and relaxing after crowds of PV and the high rises of Nuevo Vallarta. You get more of a real feel for Mexico. And you get more interaction with the locals like Armando at his Sunshine Bar Cafe on Avenida Mexico. You feel like a local and make new friends. Can hardly wait to return!

This small town is about 45 minutes out of Puerto Vallarta ~ beaches are less crowded but the amenities are also fewer and further between. A lot of artists at work, we ate at a small café (Sweet something) and had the BEST banana/walnut pancakes ever! Our friends spent four nights here last year - restful but not much night... More

If you are in Nuevo Vallarta then go here, but not worth the trip from Puerto Vallarta. Same stuff, different beach.

The bus ride was bumpy and the bus had an awful smell, but we got to see alot of scenery on the way to Bucerias. The beaches are quieter and have fewer people than the PV beaches. The street market has all the same merchandise as PV. Some that are in buildings have air conditioning, which was refreshing after being... More

If you are staying in Vallarta and tire of the crowds at Playa de Los Muertos , take a day trip to Bucerias. Catch a bus in front of Walmart for the 45 minute ride. The driver will announce the central stop - get off, cross the highway and down into the charming old plaza.(There is an hour time difference... More
