Los Arcos is worth the trip to scuba or simply snorkel. The beautiful, colorful fish will swarm around you hoping for a nibble on some crackers or bread, banned in eco-swimming, diving spots like Las Marietas, but Los Arcos maintains its luster. Go early, between 8:30-10:30 or you will be surrounded by the hoardes of tourists from the big hotels... More

We saw a lot of puffers, a lot. A lot a lot on the first dive. Second dive was better. Saw 3 different eels. And a ray in addition to our puffer fish invasion. Slight current. We went through Vallarta adventures our dive master James was awesome, helpful, nice and knowledgeable. I would recommend him over everything else.

We spoke with them a few days ahead and they reccommended that we be there by 9:30am so that it wouldnt be crowded yet. This time of year the water is murkier, but we saw a ton of fish and many varieties. This was my first time so i had nothing to compare it to. But for $25, it was... More

We got a private boat to go snorkel at the los arcos. On the way there we saw whales and dolphins. Snorkeling is not too bad, visibility isn't the greatest though. Good experience overall.

Decent trip, water was rough so snorkeling was cut a bit short. Wife broke her toe on the boat because there's no handrails on the way to the washroom and the floor isn't textured. Kinda ruined the rest of her vacay. Lunch was good though. Boat crew very nice.

I'm PADI Open Water Dive Certified (so what?) & I visited Los Arcos with local dive company 2 days last week. I might have liked this tourist dive spot more if not for all the rave-ups. Sealife sitings included many baby Moray Eels, & 1 Eagle Ray. Water temp ~77F, air Temp ~80F -- pleasant. Over-run by tourist boats, churned-up;... More

Nothing too crazy special here, while the caves are stunning to look at Los Arcos is such a popular tourist spot it is always packed with boats galore and people. The sun goes behind the natural large rock in the afternoon reducing visibility. Very mediocre. (Watch out for jellyfish!!)

We went diving there and had great things to see. The coral was the best part with many vertical structures. The water was much darker than other location. The water had a bit of a current but nothing any normal swimmer could not fight. The dive site has many thermal lines. The site is very close to PV and you... More

Went with Ernesto's boat "Vikingo" right out of old town pier . . private boat - holds 10 easily, takes you on a waterfront tour all the way to Los Arcos. They have masks. fins and snorkels on board so we all had gear. Swam at the arches for an hour then off to Los Animas beach for lunch and... More
