It smells, but it's the best place to see fish in PV.

The water isn't very clear in PV like it is in Cancun. But many boats go over to Los Arcos. The birds there make it smelly, but if you take a good boat you'll have a fun time. We prefer Cielito Lindo…a catamaran we've taken several times. Your drinks are included, as is the lunch; you'll go over to Las... More

We kayaked from Garza Blanca Resort to Los Arcos (about 35 minute trip). Beautiful coastline. Calm water. Beautiful rocks! We snorkeled and saw some pretty angelfish, and then we kayaked through the center of the rocks. Saw a lot of pelicans, too! Snorkeling was just fair, but still worth it!

There are so many great little shops and restaurants along Los Arcos. Each time I visit I find something new and interesting to checkout.

I take the bus to Mismaloya and then walk back toward town. Be careful, the sidewalks are not all there. Some beautiful vacation homes along the waterfront. Watch for traffic though and take a water bottle!

The water is so clear we could see all the fish come up. We here there for about 20 minutes on a private tour and got a chance to jump in and enjoy nature.

My host from Chico's Dive Shop on the boardwalk was FANTASTIC however, the dive site was "OK". I did get to see some super cool things because my dive master knew the ocean floor like the back of his hand (held an octopus, caught and played with tons of blow fish and eel, saw many sting ray, lobsters, a zillion... Take a bus or taxi down to Mismaloya and hire a panga (small boat) to take you out to the arcos (arches). Put on a mask/snorkel and mush up a slice or two of bread into your hand- then jump in and slowly release the "goo" out between your fingers... hoardes of colorful fish will be there in seconds!

This national treasure is wonderful to see, if a little crowded. The fish population appears to be healthy and varied. We saw schools of spotted eagle rays, which we heard is pretty rare. There were 5-6 boats when we arrived, we left when the 'big guys' arrived and 50+ additional snorkelers started to get in the water. Best advice--go, but... More
