This is the pier, completed within last 15 mos, that allows water taxi riders to board & disembark with relative ease. Beach boarding can be a wet experience and more. The pier also is located in the upscale, colorful Romantica District

The pier has been re-built and is a safe way to get a water taxi to the remote locations that are only accessible by boat.

This beach has come along way. Much improved. I love the walk down to the end of the beach, and watch your step, but you can hike all the way along to Del Sol hotel.

Our hotel was right by this beautiful pier so we were able to see it at all times of the day. During the morning it was a nice place to go and walk on and have a seat to watch the boats coming and going with the pelicans at their heels. Being able to take the water taxi from this... More

Beautiful design, nice lighting at night. However, when I rode the water taxi over to downtown from Nuevo Vallarta, I noticed that you risk your life trying to get on the dock. Not user friendly or safe. It was built to be pretty, not serviceable. Fix it so people can actually land there without injury.

Start you run here! Or just a walk on a sunny afternoon. You can see the dolphins and the whales jumping in the bay. And if you are lucky the occasional crocodile.

Love the new pier. It still is a functional pier for the water-taxis and fishing, but it is a striking piece of beautiful architecture, too.

Things to do on trip advisor are always interesting -- I am never sure what makes the list of options and why. This is kind of cool - but in the end it is a pier, kind of cool but not worth seeking out.
