A PV landmark and the Southernmost part of the delightful Malecon. Buy fresh fish, sip a cocktail, or revel in the diversity of humanity from the breeze cooled benches.

I was delighted to discover this new addition to the Los Muertos area. It provides a great place to walk, sit and view the crowded beach and local fisherman going in and out with their catch.

Daytime allows the pier to serve its functional purpose and have passengers embark and disembark on the water taxis to various destinations (such as Jalapa). At night the pier is lit up with multicoloured LED lights and is quite romantic. The views of the town from the pier are also spectacular as are the views of the Bay of Banderas.... More

It is a nice structure but - the locals used to fish from the old pier and the new one doesn't allow for that. A good looking pier that was designed to allow safe fishing would have been a real improvement. A good looking pier but...

It's a must see at night when they have the pier all lit up! You can also see all the pelicans hanging out at the beach around there.

We use to watch all the activity on the old pier from our hotel room and the beach. It was great to watch people fish from the pier and all the other things that went on. The new pier isn't used nearly as well. There is no fishing on the new pier. This year it was lit up at night... More

The pier is really spectacular and well attended. From early morning to late at night, this tourist attraction is a magnet. Plus, so much more functional than the old pier it replaced. Worth waiting for!

It takes you out on water for a long view of the shoreline, and it' soaring lines, reminiscent of a sailing ship, make for a dramatic photo op. Parking is limited but it's easy to walk down to and stroll on...

There's nothing astounding here but the views are very nice. Would I walk all the way specifically to this pier for the view, no. You can get similar or better views from different places along the boardwalk.
