Over the years it has upscaled, become increasingly expensive and lost it's authentic Mexican feel. There are many restaurants along the beach, some good and many shops all too expensive. Just too sad to... More

We hired a car and drove to Punta Mita for the day. It was very commercial and made just for tourists. We had a meal in a small beach style restaurant. Probably would not return and glad that we saw it.

This is a beautiful area and it's far to get out here from Puerto Vallarta. But since it's so secluded when the restaurants and vendors see you - you're Like fresh meat! Make sure you bring change $1.00 bills or pesos exchange rate at the restaurants are 78cents on the dollar

Look for an English speaking guy named Rudi, who has a few boats for whale watching. Entertaining, safe and knows where to find fish...to eat or watch!

A small but stunningly beautiful area with the most beautiful beaches ever seen. Just go for lunch and sit and dream awhile. A great place to count ones blessings. Don't miss this quait, lovely area.

I got the best photo of the... More

I decided to take the road through here on the way back from Sayulita, as it is the northernmost point of the Bay of Banderas, so thought it might be noteworthy. I found out a major hotel bought up all the land at the point, with golf courses, etc. so you end up driving (crowding, on a Sunday- terrible traffic)... More

Hola Just got back from a trip to Nuevo Vallarta. While there, I had choosen to go fishing with a well known Fishing Captain that keeps his boat in the Punta De Mita Marina. I stayed near Paradise Village - great place with lots of everything you need. Taxi fare (small car) from Paradise Village to Punta De Mita is... More

Worth a drive through but not very interesting. It doesn't have a warm feeling. Probably if you are staying in the area one would get to know where to go.
