I golfed both courses and they were equally excellent. $204 U.S. dollars to golf in primetime, after 1 pm the price drops nicely. Check with your hotel to see if they can get you a deal. It is a $220 peso taxi fare from the downtown Sheraton. The things I enjoyed about both courses were the scenery, the challenge and... More

Played the Nicklaus and the Weiskopf and found both beautiful and challenging. Fairways and greens in great shape although the sand traps had that heavy sand (especially when wet) that I find difficult to judge strength of swing when green-side. Overall, a great golfing experience. It was overcast the two days I played, so the view of Vallarta and the... More

2 courses. We golfed the Jack Nicholas course which has been host to WGC. Apparently Phil Michelson shot a course record 62 on it. I did not. Very challenging! Well worth the $$$

Don't bother. The courses are both C at best. They charge $50 for club rentals of mismatched worn out variety. No water or ice provided. No maps of the course, no gps. Also cart tents Is $70 USD pp. Really?

It's well worth the taxi fare (24 from NV) to get up to the jungle foothills and play both these courses. Played Weiskopf one day and enjoyed it so much came back couple of days later to play Nicklaus. Our green fees were part of hotel package so all we had to pay was "cart fee" of $69 each. Most... 20 minutes drive up into the mountains from puerto Vallarta. Beautiful course after driving through a run down area. We were advised not to leave the cart in case youngsters stole valuables from the buggy but didn't see anybody except other golfers. Had free green fees but the clubs cost 50 dollars each to hire and 45 dollars each person... More

Unlike other courses in town, Vista Vallarta requires a substantial drive to reach. (Well over 1 hour from our Villa. This cab ride was in excess of $100 USD round trip.) My wife and I play frequently and brought our own clubs but the cost of the round was almost ~$300 USD. For this price point, the expectations are high... More

My husband and I played both courses and both were in horrible shape. Both greens and fairways. It was the most expensive golf we played and the worst. I would not recommend it.

We played both courses. Courses were in great shape, fairways and greens. You cannot beat the views out towards the sea. And the Weiskopf course, well we just love it as it is cut out of the jungle. Better bring some extra balls as in the summertime the rough is basically jungle. Enough of a challenge for everyone. Holes not... More
