If you want the fun of Venice Beach without the scary people, you will love the Malecon. Beautiful beach, great seafood, fun shops, great guys, and nothing scary like in CA. A great day activity for those staying in Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta.

The Malecon is a nice walking path through the Old Town area. We enjoyed walking on it at all parts of the day and night. There are street performers, food vendors, and beautiful street art. It is a nice way to experience the waterfront. During the day the tourist areas are a little overwhelming trying to get business, but those... More

The boardwalk is relatively new we were told... It was good to be off the congested, noisy, smelly streets. They put in some nice art work and made the area quite nice.

It is rather lenghty and goes by the water's edge. You can walk on it for quite a while and find pretty much everything on the boardwalk: on one side, the ocean and on the other, restaurants, bars, clubs, shops of all kinds. Very popular, beautiful statues and sculptures along the way!

We frequented the Malecon to get to different places, the view was nice at night. It is fairly new.. I think made in the 90s... it used to be a driving space where people would show off their cars etc. Much nicer now, I'm sure. Cool statues and there is an amphitheater right by town square that people put on... More

Walked from one end to the other, about 1 km. The boardwalk takes you along the water past several restaurants and shops. We found the prices to be geared towards tourists. Don't miss the flee market. You need 5 pesos in the event that nature calls.

Silver, silver and silver is the fare of the week while walking along the board walk. Little cantinas to have lunch or a cold beer.

We have been coming to PV for over 25 years and one of our favorite things to do is to stroll on the sea wall- the Malecon, technically not a boardwalk - every night after dinner. It is safe and lively, with shopping, diningentertainment, both street and amphitheater all along the way from the Hotel Rosita past the main church,... More

The walk is beautiful with many things to see and do. The food was average. Great drink specials with decent service. In my opinion its traveller be aware. High pressure salesman, ignorant cabbies, and scam central going on constantly. The police here are running scams against tourists with local vendors and is well orchestrated. Even the cabbies get in on... More

A nice collection of shops, restaurants, and seaside views. The statuary along the Malecon is also fascinating.
