Our father lives in Puerto Vallarta. My daughter and I flew from San Diego to meet up with my sister and niece to surprise our father for his 75th Anniversary in P.V. We hired Mavi Graf for an incredible day of buying food at local markets and learning how to cook and make incredible Margarita's! Mavi explained everything about the... More

For my birthday, my husband Sigurd, gifted me with a day in the Puerto Vallarta markets and kitchen starring Chef Mavi. My sister Polly and I were picked up at our Condo by this petite, energy filled, adorable woman in a red chef’s jacket. Off we went on a journey to gather ingredients for our cooking class in Chef Mavi’s... More

I surprised my boyfriend with a long weekend trip to Puerto Vallarta for his 30th birthday. I was looking to create some unique experiences that we haven't done before. The experience with Mavi was wonderful and it was such a pleasure spending the day with her. We started off with a trip to the Butcher Store and Fish Market to... More

My sister and I spent the day with Mavi. I nicknamed her the energizer bunny! She's extremely friendly and enthusiastic. We enjoyed visiting the butcher shop, fish shop, produce shop, spice shop, etc. in Old Puerto Vallarta. A highlight was the Tortilleria Aries where we saw tortillas being made. Back at Mavi's condo with a beautiful view of the marina,... More

After picking us up from our hotel Mavi took us to some incredible markets including a vegetable market followed by a spice market, we even watched tortilla's being made then purchased some for our dinner to follow. The fish and spice markets were also so exciting and it was then that we were hooked on the food and culture of... More

My family and I had the great pleasure of taking a class with Mavi just after Semana Santa (Holy Week). I can honestly say it was the absolute highlight of our trip to Puerto Vallarta. We were warmly greeted by Mavi as if we were all old friends and then we went straight away to the markets to pick up... More

We spent about 6 hours with Mavi learning to cook...but even more, feeling like family. Mavi goes out of her way to make you feel at home, sharing stories about her family, her journey to become a chef and her advice on making everything look and taste perfect. She even helped us find some local utensils to take home...calling ahead... More

Definitely a highlight of our week in Puerto Vallarta. The day was well spent complete with market trip, tour, and a wonderful cooking class at the Marina. Chef Mavi is expert and personable, welcoming and an excellent teacher. And the food was delicious! Skip the rum punch cruise and make the most of a wonderful culinary adventure and taste of... This was one of the highlights of our week in Mexico, beginning with Mavi taking us on a tour of the local markets, and samples of fermented drinks and handmade local cheese, a spice shop, and a tortilla factory. Mavi is greeted by the locals and knows where the best meat, fish and vegetables can be found. Then we spent... More
