Investours takes you off the beaten path to bring you an authentic cultural experience. We take you into communities surrounding Puerto Vallarta where you will meet local artisans and learn how they make goods like pinatas, dresses, and tamales by hand. You will also enjoy a unique sampling of traditional foods and a non-touristy perspective of the real Mexico. On top of it all, this is an experience you can feel good about because we use your entire tour fee to support the artisans you meet with interest-free loans. Please contact us directly or check our website and Facebook page for more information! NOTE: Investours Mexico is now called Human Connections.

This is a fairly new tour for the Bucerias area - just within the last year. However, Human Connections has found the perfect way to connect tourists with the local folk and allow a great sharing of stories! The name of the company says it all! I found this tour through Trip Advisor (thanks TA!) as well, the two other... More

Tour of 3 local families/entrepreneurs local to the Bucerias area. Enlightening experience for adults and kids alike. Human Connections is well run and well informed. The focus by the staff is on positive progress and highlights the talents (and hard work) of the people in the community. The families we visited seemed to genuinely enjoy our tour guide's presence and... More

This was an eye opening adventure. Many people just do the tourist things but this tour you get to meet the local people. This tour takes a person right into the home of the local people many of which are local artisans. My tour started at the Human Connections office where I was told about the program of Human Connections.... More

Stumbled upon this while looking for things to in PVR on Trip Advisor. I'm so happy I did! My husband & I attended with approx. 15 other people. This is a lovely not for profit initiative in Bucerias that truly gives back to the locals in the community. We visited 3 different families and learned about their lives and families... More

My wife & I have been wintering in Puerto Vallarta for the past 8 winters and I must confess that our tour in Bucerias yesterday (Feb 24/15) ranks as one of our top highlights. Our tour was well organized and our guide Alex was excellent, all first class. But the real highlight and eye opener was meeting local business people/artisans... More

My husband and I took our 7 and 12 year old girls on this most impressive tour. If you want to be inspired and energized, this is better than any movie or live show. Not only was I inspired by the 3 families we visited and their journeys to creating a better life but I was completely inspired by our... More

My wife and I did this tour last month when in Bucerias - very informative and well worth the cost. Met some very interesting locals. We have been going to Bucerias for the past 10 years and learned more about the community on a local basis then we thought there was to know. Our tour guide was excellent, very bi-lingual.... More

This tour was a highlight of our trip. Do it! Human Connections is a fantastic organization helping the community of Bucerias. Their tour provides an inside look into the lives of local artisans. Not only do you learn the process of these artisans' crafts, but you have the opportunity to learn about their lives. Human Connections compensates the artisans for... More

A very enjoyable and informative look into the life of small business owners and independent artists. The staff are excellent interpreters making communication flawless. The trip was all about education and exploration. There is no expectation that you buy anything; the people you visit are paid for their time. it changed the way I view the independent vendors that are... More

Absolutely beautiful experience. It was great seeing the other side of Mexico rathe than just the tourist parts. It is definitely humbling seeing how proud all of the artisans of what they did and what they have. The food was DELICIOUS at the end of the trip! I would recommend this trip to ANYONE and EVERYONE! Thank you Human Connections... More
