We had kind of a hard time finding Memo the guide when we first got there. The bus driver let us off at the wrong place. We did end up finding our guide before the 10 Am time. It was only myself and my friend so we got the personal tour. We stopped at several 7 or 8 local Taco... More

We visited Puerto Vallarta in January of 2012 (the date section below did not allow me to choose the correct date because it's been so long since our visit). As foodies, we always do advance research on places to eat, and were excited to find this guided street-food tour. The idea of street food in Mexico likely strikes fear in... More

Boy, when they say "come hungry," they REALLY mean it. If you're doing the Taco Tour, do not eat breakfast. If you're doing the Mole, Posole and More tour, skip lunch and avoid those filling frozen drinks in the afternoon (those were my downfall). First, the Taco Tour. This was my favorite. Both tours are a great way to get... More

We did this tour late May 2013. We’ve done most of the standard boat / booze and jungle /zip line tours in the area, and this one is definitely unique and enjoyable. Booking was very easy; we were able to use Paypal. Then the owner emailed the confirmation and info for where to meet. The food and tour were very... More

My husband and I signed up for both tours (the Taco Tour and the Mole, Pazole & More Tour) after discovering it here on TripAdvisor. This was our first trip to Mexico, and we love food and wanted to experience "real" Mexican food. Let me start by saying all the rave reviews are SPOT ON. If you love food --... More

This was seriously the highlight of our week-long stay in Vallarta! I signed my husband and I up for the tour after reading the reviews here. (The only thing that I can say is not "as advertised" is the amount of food: the website says that you will eat a meal's worth of food--but it's about FOUR meal's worth of... More

This was our second time on the daytime tour. Some of the same stop. Some new ones. Make sure you don't eat breakfast beforehand. It was a good as the first time. This is a must.

Absolutely loved this tour. Our guide, Memo, led us to many wonderful and delicious taco stands, as well as a bakery, butcher shop, tortilla factory and candy store. We ate at all these places, as well as a couple of sit down, family run restaurants. We tried a wide variety of foods and beverages during the course of our 4... More

Hands down awesome. So much local delicious food through a lot of the local areas of Old Vallarta. You will not leave hungry. I'll take this tour again when I go back. Stops at the butcher, baker and a cold beer on the beach. The finish at the candy store was perfect.

Let me start off by saying I don't frequent the local "taco trucks" in my area. I've been told they are good but I'm kind of a picky eater. I was referred to the Vallarta Eats Food Tour by my boss' parents who visit Puerto Vallarta yearly and I don't regret it. My husband and I visit Mexico at least... More

Hola FDeane60! I agree - birria and carnitas tacos....the BEST! There was a long period of time when I would wake in the morning and the first thing I thought of was a good breakfast taco. Want to get me to move faster, talk about birria and carnitas. Thrilled you enjoyed the experience and It was a pleasure meeting the... More
