This is a place one should go at least once. The scenery was serene and it was fantastic just sitting at the restaurant to watch the falls and then hike back to catch the boat back to town.

Depending on the time of year, this is a fun place to visit. Normally, you have to take a boat to get to the town and then you ride horses up to the waterfall. It is fun. You get to cross a couple of rivers, but the horses know the way! EAch time I have gone, there was a nice... More

We were dropped off by Vallarta by boat. There was another tour boat there at the same time. It was extremely crowded. The hike was horrible. The water murkey and donkey dung the entire way up the trail. The smell was atrocious. Don't waste your time or money visiting this place.

This is a nice place for a deep in the water which is a little colder than the ocean, but a nice place to visit. You can take a boat from Barcelo and a 30 minute hike to the waterfall. You can also rent a horse for $200 pesos for the whole ride. Your guide will stay with you as... More

For anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta I recommend the short boat trip to Quimixto. You will not be disappointed. I is well worth the expense and the time. Go for it.

We had such a great time here. It is off the beaten path with very few US tourists, but don't let that scare you off. It was wonderful.

My husband and I took a "party boat" out of the Marina Terminal with BeachBoy. Though the boat was NOT the highlight Quimixto was. It is a very very small town, poor and run down, but very friendly people. We bought FRESH coconut on the way up, sooo good! $30 pesos a bag. When we arrived you could see at... More

First of all those were not horses, the waterfall, ya not so much. Snorkelling was in for 5 min and get out. One men asked if he could take a pic of my husband and myself with my camera.... Wanted $5 total tourist trap....

It was fantastic to ride the horses up to the waterfall! The town was so cute and I just had no idea what to expect. I raved about the Sea Safari tour but I was the only female in the group who liked the boat ride. It was bumpy for all of us especially my husband and I in the... More
