I arrived via a tour group. My gf and I opted to take the horses which were only $200/person. 30 minutes or so we arrived at the falls where you get go eat at a small restaurant that helps fund the local community. Great people, although in July the rainy season brings about alot of sediment and the water was... More

This is what one the best excursions/tours that my wife and I have taken a part of. Loved the horse ride up the mountain even though there was a slight rain, it didn't bother us one bit. Our guides Nacho and Elias were very friendly and answered any questions we had about the area. I definitely recommend this to anyone.

Make sure to get Vallarta By Boat!!! It's only $250 pesos and it included incredible service, snorkeling, open bar (tequila, rum, & beer) and your choice of going to the waterfall or just chilling on the beach. We chose the waterfall and only 3 of our group got the horses. YOU DON'T NEED TO BUY WHAT THEY'RE OFFERING!! They're going... More

Well its a very small beach, we were told by a few that Yelapa was better. But we decided to go with quimixto instead. You take the water taxi from Boca de Tomatclan to Quimixto then when you get off you go down the pier and walk through the very small pueblo to the end where you will see a... More

I went here with my boyfriend during a Vallarta Adventure, Sea Safari. First of all take cash for tips. Everywhere you go its about tips. Tip for the boat ride, tip for the crew, tips tips tips. Now about Quimixto, it was a great experience. We did some donkey riding up hills and down hills. They do have you wear... More

We rented a boat for 1/2 a day at Playa Mismaloya - Javier - just ask for him by name. His family also owns the restaurant immediately across the little walking bridge at the beach. Had a nice snorkel at Los Arcos then went to Quimixto where we walked to the water fall for a refreshing (very chilly) dip. We... More

We hired a boat, and they took us here to go horseback riding to a waterfall. It is a very small town, and you walk through it until you arrive at the river where the horseback riding is. For $20.00 a person you can take a horse on a 30 minute ride to a beautiful waterfall, with a guide, and... More

We hired a boat at Playa Mismaloya. Our captain was Chava (cell phone 044-322-104-30-87 email chavabravo4@gmail.com) who made our day there a huge success. I don't think we would have had so much fun without such a great guide. We started out with some whale watching in the Bay of Banderas. From there we went snorkeling at a coral reef... More

Ok, all the guide told as about the waterfall was good. But the reality is very different of what you see in the pictures. Waterfall is very little, water is very cold. The trail is very dirty and smell to horse poop.
