I was on the exclusion that want to Majahuitas and Yelapa. The snorkeling was great there were lots of fish swimming around the people snorkeling. Better than Las Caletas and Marietas Islands. Bring an underwater camera.

We made the most of it but we weren't impressed by the structure and lack of equipment for everyone. Snorkeling was for 20 min and there were only 3 kayaks for over 100 people. The guides did make it fun but I wish we knew what we were getting ourselves into before we went.

My wife and had a great time with the guys from Mundo Silencio. The captain and dive masters were phenomenal and the critters beneath didn't disappoint! We saw tons of scorpionfish, nudibranchs, puffers, crabs, an octopus, and a sea lion. The sea lion was on accident as we ran into another group doing the sea lion excursion :)

Whales, Wild Dolphins & Snorkeling Vallarta Adventures V Beware! This catamaran holds 180 people. I was expecting a catamaran that held 20 people and there would be 9 of us. (Granted, the woman at the front desk on Holland America didn’t know she was misleading me.) There were 137 people on our tour, nine from our cruise ship and 128... More

this beach would likely be busy like the others once it fills up during the day with hoards of cruise ship tourists but if you can there on a off cruise ship day and go in the morning it would be a very pleasant experience .....a bit far out by water taxi but nice and gentle ride when we were... I enjoyed the catamaran ride a lot! The crew were friendly and we all had good photo ops along the way. We went 2010 all inclusive. Stayed in Port on cruise 2012, 2 days. I thought that we were going to a village called Majahuitas and was surprised that it was the snorkelling spot. I asked where the village was... More

Take a boat load of 40+ tourists and combine it with Tropical Depression Manual and you have a recipe for disaster. Unless, you have Julio and crew from Vallarta Adventures running the show. We arrived by cab at Vallarta Adventures and were treated to a nice Continental Breakfast while waiting to board. The rain was just beginning but within a... More

I love Banderas Bay. You can bit in the hustle of Vallarta one minute and take a 30 minute water taxi and be at Majahuitas the next. This isn't a place to go "to do" anything. Theres diving/snokeling and some other beach activities but come here to get away from it all and just relax.
