A fantastic beach to body surf and enjoy the lovely bay. You can catch a bus from Walmart (on the hi-way side) to get to the beach, ask the driver to stop for you as it is a bit remote. You can walk out for a long ways to body surf

This was one of the best "locals" beaches in the Bay and surrounding coastline but the recent heavy hurricane season destroyed it! Before that it was great to walk on, swim in the ocean, eat at the clean vendors spots, watched the whales etc. Hopefully, they can do some repairs and have it back for the winter. Check with a... Destiladeras has been one of our favorite beaches since 1992 but sometimes it gets dirty...folks don't clean up their trash. I don't like that. Sundays are family days at all of the beaches, when families pack up food, all the kids/relatives, and go to the beaches, and this is one of the busiest on Sunday. If you are looking for... More

This beach is no longer a secret, but you can still enjoy a long walk on the most beautiful beach on the bay. We love walking our little dog in the waves. Be careful boogie boarding as there can sometimes be a strong undertow!

We found this place through a recommendation from a local on the bus who said this beach was his favorite in the area. About a 45 minute busride from our hotel in puerto vallarta (buses are super cheap and very convenient, just tell the bus driver you're going to destiladeras and he'll tell you when to get off). the ocean... Beautiful long beach. Quiet and peaceful. Cant wait to visit again. There was a young boy diving for oysters. We were able to sid on this deserted beach and have fresh oysters and cold beer. What more could a person ask for.

i liked this place so much, better than Sayulita Beach or Guayabitos, u can see fishes thru the water, and nice water nuances, you can eat fresh coctails and ceviche or aguachile, local people, families, perfect for kids and pets, to hang with friends, the beverages are expensive take yours, and ice... i liked a lot.

Perhaps the nicest beach I was fortunate enough to enjoy in Bahía de Banderas (Banderas Bay)... its clear shallow waters and wide sandy areas make it an ideal spot for swimming, playing, and relaxing during the day. You can purchase coconuts and refreshments around the entrance. It's a clean and long stretch of walkable shore; therefore, if it gets too... More
