Never a shortage of things to see or do. You can just walk around and have a drink or a crepe, watch a production of some sort see the pirate ship out on the bay and it sets off it's fireworks every night. You are always entertained More

Every traveler must take time to visit El Centro, or Old Town. El Centro is filled with restaurants and shopping. Walk along the back streets to see what you can find! There are friendly tourist police everywhere to help you find a location, or bathroom. They do a good job making the down town safe for tourists. Go and enjoy... More

Walking along the Malecon and el centro viejo is fun and relaxing. The streets are clean, organized and safe to stroll. Local cops are everywhere and they seem helpful. Food, beach, people and activies here are worth to remember. Los muertos Playa area is a bit too crowded and the tides are way too strong but we do have a... More

We loved the puerto Vallarta downtown! There we found great shopping, the best retaurants (most a bit off the beaten path), works of art and historical sites! We felt safe and entertained as we enjoyed the beauty and perfect weather of puerto Vallarta! Don't go all-inclusive in puerto Vallarta! The restaurants are amazing...you want to leave your resort here... Enjoy! More

I feel safe walking down the streets and walking around the Malecon. I do like the Trafic in the day time, but I do love all the little shops. Wish it was less commercial and more MX. More
