PV's Olas Altas Street is in the Zona Romantica & located one short block inland from the famous El Malecon. The sidewalks on both sides are lined with tables & diners/drinking folks during the days + evenings. You can enjoy fancy eateries, cantinas, gift shops, etc. that cater primarily to tourists here... very lively and happening spot in Old Puerto... More

This street has it all. We could walk back and forth on this street anytime of the day or night and enjoy the strong vibe. This street probably has more personality than any other place in town.

Whether you are out for a walk having coffee or just sitting watching life go bye. This as an awesome spot to be in. People are friendly and the best part you meet everyone from previous years. The best place to stay in PV.

Olas Altas is an area of PV that is towards the south end of the beach. It's super lively and a great place to people watch, sit on the beach, drink Palomas and just hang out.

Olas Alta's means high wave and there is another city that we visit that actually has VERY HIGH waves, but this area of PV is always a treat. Beautiful waves, great restaurants and great people watching.

For 4-5? visits to Vallarta now, we do consider this area as our neighborhood. Yes, we are tourists, go to the gay and straight beaches, shop at the very fine Yoder's for silver, use the internet café, and visit the local clubs. It has its annoyances: the crowd at Apaches and Andale's can be a bit too lively at night,... More

I've been to Olas Altas many time and I never get tired of it. It's a densely populated area being somewhat touristic. Still it is relaxing and with no shortage of restaurants, bars and gay life. I always enjoy being there.

If you like the hustle and bustle of people and stores and restaurants and hotels crammed into a few blocks, this is the place to come. Then, expand outward to discover even more places. This review isn't all that helpful, as this is an internationally known place for tourists and residents alike. There's a reason for that, and that reason... More

You must walk this street when in Vallarta! Many shops, restaurants and cafes. Stop for a chocolate martini if you have a moment, or perhaps a lovely mango popsicle. Keep your eyes open for chocolate covered bananas!
