Great area to eat and shop

This is the Area to be. Lots of place to eat and shop. Don't just stay on Olas Altas, venture off the other streets. You never know what you will find.

Great Jewellery stores with amazing variety of gemstones, as well. Be careful on the beach to ensure it's real silver .925. Clothing stores are now realizing their demographic includes plus size women!. Food..there are a couple of very small mini-marts with fresh veggies, and Oxxo stores (like 7-11's), and restaurants every few feet. Check out the Page in the Sun... More

Great dinners and now you can get breakfast too. Be sure you bring cash though and arrive early or you will be waiting in line.

I don't care about shopping, that didn't seem exceptional. It's by the water, by the market, and has plenty of places to eat. Stay away from Cebolla Roja though. I can't find where to rate that separately but we had awful margaritas there -- weak and small and not tasty, tasted like ice with margarita mix.

I have been visiting PV for many years. Olas Alas is a lively area to dine, and just people watch. If you are goint to PV make sure to visit Olas Altas street.

We've been staying at Hotel Playa Los Arcos for most every year since the late 80's. So, obviously, we love this area. The Olas Altas-Basilio Badillo streets have increased their traffic considerably over those years, becoming, what we consider to be, the area to be in for PV. With hotels, parks, restaurants, pastry shops, retail clothing stores, coffee shops, galleries,... More

Olas Altas has gain all the attention that the Malecon used to have but is even better and cozier... great place to walk, eat, drink, go to the beach, best coffee place now is Cafe del Mar...

Cool street with all kinds of restaurant, bar, and whatever options. We were up and down this street so many times on our little vacation we got to know it well.

This is one of the main streets in the area, and it's filled with restaurants and shops and is alive day and night, so much fun to just be there.

Great street with lots of activity and action. Good food and bars abound. For us this is the heart of the old town.
