This is the hot spot in Zona Romantica with all its bars and restaurants it's always busy. Sitting on the sidewalk in one of the restaurants is a great way to people watch Just love the hustle and bustle of the place. Has such a great vibe. Very gay friendly.

Great area, many superb restaurants and stores for the tourists etc. Nice place to walk hand and hand. Even put free Mexican Flamingo dancers shows during high season. Fresh ocean breezes and many locals and tourists walking around. Fun to just sit and be a people watcher. Then the Saturday Farmers Markey is quite large and has many specialty items... More

Tonelli spa is where you can get a fabulous therapeutic massage, Many silversmith shops, Restaurants, Martini Bar, clothing shops and the start of the Malecon. Saturday Market where Olas Atlas meets the Malecon is a wonderful way to spend a Saturday morning tasting all the foods and sites and listening to live music..

This is a nice place to walk around and visit with restaurants and shops. The busiest time are evenings with the active nightlife. The Saturday farmers market is excellent and should not be missed.

My partner were here for new years eve. Olas Altas avenue is the main road straight through the town and has many hotels, restaurants, shops, bars, convenience stores etc. We found the mix to be all-inclusive and extremely comfortable. Sometimes it felt like we were the only ones holding hands and that was just fine. Sure, there are stores that... More

Services in this area are the best for mono-lingual Gringos soaking up sun & wine for 7 days. People arriving from Canada in mid-winter rave about this locale, but in my opinion it's a bit used-up, polluted, over-crowded. +, you don't really want to swim in the Ocean near central PV (though lots of people do) -- you want to... This is/was a nice area - lots of nice shops - and now the Malecon weaves its way along the sea at the edge. PV is gay friendly and it's most apparent here. If that bothers you - stay away - you'll probably find it disgusting. It you are OK with it or can ignore it - enjoy your day.... More

Stolling along this avenue is almost like stepping back in time. The cobblestone roads, the sidewalks with the signs hanging low above it, the architecture still remains.
