You can't forget Victor's Restaurant. Great food, great atmosphere and the owner, Victor, is known to bring over free shots of tequila and has a shot with you, welcoming you. You can sit outside, watch the boats and enjoy the good food and make friends. more

Marina Vallarta is conveniently located to the Casa Magna Marriott where my family recently stayed for a week. It is a quick walk and nice to get off property and look at all the boats. There is a bar at the top of the lighthouse (El Faro) with an excellent view of the Marina and the surrounding bay and mountains. This is a beautiful place to watch the sunset. Afterwards, there are a number of restaurants to catch dinner. more

The Port Hole offers great memories. Wish I'd found this site earlier. There is something about that place that is so magically happy. Especially at night. And of course great food and drinks. I agree that the Marina is excellent - from the restaurants to the Lighthouse. Excellent ambience, very chilled atmosphere with a musician playing in the background and being able to chat. Very different from Carlos O'Briens which is also very good but for a chilled out evening you cannot beat the lighthouse unless of course you are scared of heights... more

Anyone going to Vallarta may not even hear about the Marina area. Did several trips down there before I found it. It is beautiful! Grat shopping and resturants, LOTS of interesting people, some who are just docking there on thier way to all kinds of exotic places!Will be returning May2 - 16. Anyone else going to be there? more
