We booked a private "wild ride" tour. We are experienced riders and had a good time. The horses were healthy and sure-footed. Our guide Tomas was great and gave a lot of information on the area and answered all of our many questions. The only disappointing part was we rode to the river and I think we were supposed to... My girlfriend and I took her 16 year old son on the 5 hr ride. At first it was just an ok ride, but on the way back our guide, Ramon saw that we were all experienced riders and asked us if we wanted to take an adventurous trail on the way back to the stables. We said yes and... More

We booked the 5 hour ride to the waterfall that included lunch. Our guide was Tomas who was a true gentleman, we felt like we made a friend by the end of our ride. I've ridden in many countries and this was the best and most challenging ride I've been on. The view from the top of the mountain was... More

My husband and I had a fun time riding on the trail. Pam was so sweet and very helpful. Our trail guide did his best to speak English. He also pointed our certain spots in the jungle and told us stories about it. We had an enjoyable ride. This is something that an entire family can enjoy.

We were met by Pamela as promised and taken to the ranch. Pamela is a lovely lady who visited the area a few moons ago and fell in love with the mountains. We were introduced to our guide Thomas who was a true Mexican gentlemen. We were saddled up and on the move in no time at all. The horses... More

Last week, I was invited to go with a group of friends on a horseback ride at Rancho El Charro. I had been wanting to find a place to ride here in Puerto Vallarta, but was kind of nervous about finding the right horses.place. My friend, Kathleen, had ridden here before and highly recommended it. Prior to our ride, the... More

Our family had a lovely day at Rancho El Charro. We were picked up at the library and had a nice drive through some villages to get to the ranch. Our guide did not speak English but we all managed to communicate well enough. The horses all seemed to know what they were doing and were very well cared for.... More

The owner, Pam, is a sweetheart. My guide, Ramon, does not speak English, but we had no trouble communicating on the trail. I was picked up at the designated location (if you are not coming from a local hotel, I recommend printing directions, Apparently "Library" often means "bookstore" to the uninformed. It is actually Los Mangos Biblioteca, but it is... More

My husband and I decided to do this ride. I am very experienced with horses he has never ridden. The guide did not check to see how he was doung which was not very well at all. I had to stay back and help him and therefore did not get to enjoy any of the ride. We did not have... More

This adventure was top notch from beginning to end. We did the ATV/zipline/horseback riding adventure. The day started out with a 1 hour horseback ride to the waterfalls - the scenic journey took us meandering through the woods and along and across the river. The horses were in very good shape - and weren't tiny scrawny horses like we've experienced... More
