This trip was one of the most fun things I've done in ages. In addition to the excitement of seeing the whales 'up close and personal', the information about their activities was incredibly informative. The leaders of this exploration are absolutely 'THE BEST'!

Went out with 8 others to view the humpback whales. Oscar and Saul are very knowledgeable. They know where to find the whales but are careful not to do anything that would upset them. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love Onca Explorations, Oscar and his team! We took a small group (10 people) to Mazatlan on a spiritual retreat and swimming with the dolphins was high on our list of to-dos. We never could have guessed that spending time with Oscar and his team was going to be an amazing life experience for our entire group..even without the... More

We had a wonderful morning with Onca Exploration at the end of the whale watching season. It was well worth the money just to see the number of dolphins, the jumping manta rays and the sea turtle. We also got a nice tour around deer island. On top of it all, we saw two Bryde's whales, which were lovely. The... More

We took the tour on April 1, 2015. I was nervous, being at the end of the season, we wouldn't see any whales, but we saw a bunch! Both Brydes whales and humpbacks, along with many dolphins, manta rays FLYING out of the water, and a sea turtle. The education the guide gives you is thorough and interesting, and seeing... More

But there's still Bryde's whales, Mobula rays, sea turtles and dolphins to see. The Mobula rays were the highlight of the trip for me, seeing them jump out of the sea like they're flying. We saw one humpback on his journey north, 2 Bryde's whales, 2 sea turtles and many Mobula rays. Don't forget the tanning lotion and, hats and... More

Jesus was very knowledgeable. Didn't see any humpbacks but we did see two Wright's whales and bottlenose and spotted dolphins!

Took the tour with my sister and teenage son.It starts with a great informative introduction. Our guide Saul is very pleasant and knowledgeable. We started by seeing dolphins and manta rays jumping out of the water. Once we spotted our first whale the adrenalin started. Our guide and driver began tracking its direction. We were able to see one jump... More

We were told coming in March is very late in the season to see a lot of humpback whales, but we still managed to see five! We got to see them come up for air a few times each and one or two flukes (tails). We also got to hear the "singing" of two male humpbacks on the hydrophone and... More
