Nicely appointed room, but kitchen cabinets need updating. Good beds, furniture, room size, nice baths. Hard working, courteous staff. Senor Frogs makes no sense on property. Multiple pools - adult pool too. Don't need a car in Maz, but valets had cars quickly. Great Sunday Brunch.

Very unfriendly was biggest complaint. First room was unclean and when they moved me never said sorry or called to check if new room was ok. And when i check in they said I hadn't paid for the room and now that i am home I see they did charge me and now I have to check to see if... More

We live next door and this whole beach area is one of the best in Mexico. That particular area has no choral to worry about if you want to play in the water and boogie board. Can rent items there or go for a para-sail ride from the beach.....

We stayed for a week through an exchange and were pleased with our accommodations. We had a one bedroom unit with two full bathrooms. It was beautiful. We also took advantage of their all-inclusive plan, which we got at a fantastic rate. The pools and beach area were very nice. Only complaint would be that they don't enforce the rule... More

I've stayed at the El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel 10 times over the past 20 years. The El Moro is the original high rise hotel in the tourist zone (Zona Dora). The rooms are large, the bathrooms have deep marble soaking tubs, they all have an almost full size fridge, microwave and stove top. I've always found the hotel... More

We actually stayed at the Islas del Sol just down the beach which was great because the sea wall and pool were right at the high tide mark. Nice to sit at a palapa and have the sea spray hit you. The times we craved some beach/surf time we took the 1 minute walk to the beach in front of... More

Nice beach, but it was very busy! You'll have a hard time finding a decent place to sit or any shade if you don't have a membership at a hotel in the area

One of the best hotel experiences I've had. I have stayed at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlan for years and wish I had experienced El Cid earlier! Exception hotel in all ways!

Wow, took a walk both ways down the beach and found that I was at one of the only beaches that I could sit out on nice sand and enjoy, rather than having to sit up where the barricades were. Very nice!

Great beach, just had to watch the waves and undertow. There were a lot of vendors but they left you alone if you wanted them to.
