Equipment was not usable for snorkling. Granted it was late in the season but our family paid their money just like everyone else. Would not recommend again

We were very happy with our trip to Deer Island. The boat ride over was about an hour long and the drinks were flowing the entire time. The island is beautiful with nice calm ocean that you can actually swim and snorkel in, a luxury we didn't have at our resort. I would recommend taking your own snorkel equipment if... More

We wanted to go to Stone Island but Angel at El Cid talked us into going to Deer Island for more money but more do to he said and private. It was boring, we went for a 2 minute (if that) banana boat ride, we wanted to go snorkeling (every tour we've ever been on has given us a wrapped... More

We enjoyed a nice day trip away from the beach at Golden Zone. The boat ride over was about 1 hour. Once you get to the island- its a nice day on the beach with kayaking, banana boat ride and swimming in the ocean. It's the one beach I saw that you can walk around without having any vendors trying... More

The start of the trip was a bit confusing as we waited like lemmings to get on the catamaran but overall the trip was good. When we returned to land we were greeted by four massive iguanas and two crabs by the docks. We couldn't swim in the ocean at our beach at the Riu Emerald Bay and loved that... More

Loved the catermoran ride to the island and the banana boat was fun, snorkelling was ok but not great and you pretty much self organized island stuff yourself so ask lots of questions so you don't miss out on anything

Sailing was a short trip , actually most of the companies do not even put up a sail because its such a short ride. Island is not crowded , ton of sand for everyone. not much selection for food except the shack with 3/4 items on the menu. if you are picky eater pack a sandwich or check the menu... More

Was told this is the best place to snorkel but no luck. Still a fun little day trip with the catamaran, lunch and banana boat. Watch out for sea urchin and broken shells.
