North of the golden zone, hotels are mixed with time share/condos and fewer restaurants than the original golden zone. Transportation to heart of golden zone or old town can take up to 40 minutes via cab or bus depending on traffic.

Quiet, not many people, great for collecting seashells, walk it from the Marina up to Playa Bruja at low tide. Gorgeous!

Playa Cerritos is a beautiful stretch of beach that is worth a visit even if you are not staying in this area. You can get here easily from centro by taking a bus or hiring a taxi. Uncrowded and not as busy as other beaches in Mazatlan. You can enjoy a long walk and stop at Playa Bruja for a... More

Very nice area to walk along the beach. There are a number of hotels and cafes/bars to stop at and enjoy a drink or bite to eat. Great place for sunsets and the occasional whale sighting.

Playa Cerritos is near Playa Brujas, and this is another beach where you can spend time with your family/friends, also there are some restaurants where you will be able to taste the most delicious food.
