The northern most beach and not as crowded as some closer in. Great seafood for a good (modest) price. Good crabbing and accessible rock formations.

We've been visiting Mazatlan for years and often walked to Cerritos Point from Cerritos Resort, either as far as we could get along the beach or street side. Where there used to be only fisherman bringing in their daily catch and city buses making the loop as part of their scheduled routes, and maybe a cart/food vendor. Now there are... More

We've been going here for years....our favorite place for Sunday brunch! Great breakfast followed by a walk on the beautiful clean beach. The worst thing about Sunday morning is the Time Share folks take over the restaurant. They don't bother us, but the restaurant is busier trying to fill their orders. So relax, enjoy the view, & they'll get too... More

Playa Cerritos is an overlooked gem... more of a locals beach, it's definitely NOT your nice sandy resort beach! Easy to get to from the Golden zone, take a Cerritos bus north past the marina, or a pulmonia, and enjoy a nice morning or afternoon. The tourist area is right beside an RV park, featuring US and Canadian expats, depending... More

We happened on this hidden place. A little market (we have such a deal for you today!), small cantinas, a Mexican band, and a lovely bay. And cats. Lots of cats.

this is where we spent the majority of our time. it was located close to our hotel, and consists of a few restaurants and a half dozen mexican stores. the restaurants all served excellent food and the stores had all of the items that you would find at any other store in mexico. it is kind of out of the... Great selection of restaurants all along the beautiful shores of Mazatlan. Take in the wide variety of activities on the beaches or just sit back and enjoy the relaxed life in Maz.

A trip to cerritos is well worth the 10 peso bus ride. It is a haul out there and a good chance to see that part of Mazatlan. At the end of the ride is a strip mall with lots of small souvenir shops. Do stop in one of the rather dowdy restaurants for an ice cold coconut. First drink... More
