Plaza Machado comes alive on Friday and Saturday evenings around 5:00, when the vendors line the plaza and the restaurants put tables outside. Take a walk around the area to see the dance studios, the theatres, and art galleries. Then have something to eat at one of the many restaurants. From Sundays-Thursdays, the restaurants open about 6:00 and there are... More

A pretty square with lots of trees & restaurants. Good place to visit. I liked everything about it. We've gone there more than once.

This place is nothing but fun. Whether you are stopping to have a cold beverage in the shade or dancing the night away to live music, this the place to be. You won't find any Florida or California bands here. If that's what you are looking for, try Cancun, or Cabo. Nothing wrong with that. But if you want to... More

Romantic and casual place for dinner with somebody or family, the restaurants here are really bohemian and the music makes the evening a perfect place, its better to go after the sunset.

The plaza was nice and had some good restaurants around it but it definitely was not what I was expecting. When we were told they close down the streets on the weekends and have vendors, I expected it to be an all day affair and I was ready to shop. The few vendors they had did not have anything of... The plaza is the place to be on Mazatlan weekend evenings. Great music and food all around. Easy to get to by bus or taxi.

If you want to experience the heart and soul of the city this is an experience you must have. There are great restaurants, wonderful music, vendors selling their creations. You will get a feel for the importance the local people have for family life. It squares through out old Mazatlan are all this way.

The area is well kept but difficult to get to if you are driving and don't know where to park. They have nice restaurants around a small plaza. Tables are placed outside on the streets. Food is OK but nothing special. There are a lot of people asking for money that will approach you while having dinner and this doesn't... More

Always feel like I am really in Mexico not a resort. The variety of restaurants even the venders are great. We love many of the restaurants like El Mosto ,El Bife , La Tramoya. We always come here on Halloween and give candy out to the kids in costume there are more and more every year.
