Awesome place. The food, music, art, cultural events all amazing. The best time to go to plaza Machado es during the weekend. Most of the restaurants have live music and all the "artesanias" are around the plaza.

From the moment you walk into the Plaza Machado you discover a wide variety of mid-sized restaurants, offering quick meals to fine dining. I visited Plaza Machado a couple of times during my visit to Mazatlan. I enjoyed each visit although I would have to say going on a Saturday evening is probably better if you want too see it alive, but I am also here during their slow season. During the week it is quiet and relaxing nice for an evening walk... More

I would recommend anyone visiting Mazatlan to see this plaza in the center of historic old town. It's old world charm and lined with good restaurants.

Great shopping bizarre area, the hustle bustle is great energy. We found the pricing to be OK after you negotiate a bit, but we also found prices to be just as good and even better at out lying shops around town, most are willing to dicker down some.
