We have been a few times. It's a great plaza nice restaurants, good food, on Saturday nights plenty to do. There are bands playing outside and plenty of outside seating. So relaxing, a few vendors with trinkets. It is a great place for families and dates. Reminded me of a plaza in Spain, on the smaller size. Loved it

Pedro and Lola's Restaurant last Sunday evening (the square has live music Thursday-Sunday evenings). The ambiance is amazing and dinner was divine. The Imperial shrimp and Cocoanut shrimp were delicious. Greek salad was as fresh as it gets! Just couldn't get over the great food and excellent service, and we really enjoyed the banana pie which kept mysteriously disappearing when... More

Machado square has a gazebo with entertainment sometimes, and there are indoor and outdoor restaurants all around and places to stay. We ate there twice and really enjoyed it. A short walk from there is the Cathedral and a pretty park.

Disappointed in the disappearance of restaurants since last visit in 2010. Several have apparently closed.

This is a great place to go in the evening. The restaurants around the square are excellent and the music is usually good. All kinds of people, great walking area.

Plaza Machado transforms on Thursday and Saturday night. Restaurants bring tables outside for dining, musical bands play throughout the plaza. There are quite a few places to opt for dinner. Saturday night is probably the better evening. Vendors have tables set up for browsing. It is a fun evening and beautiful site at night.

Walk through Plaza Machado on your visit to Mazatlan. The historic district where the plaza is located is beautiful and fund to people watch.

this is THE place to meet and greet and been seen on the weekends. Always fun dance type music being played by a group in the gazebo. Many vendors with various wares for sale and lots of good restaurants for any taste from Burgers to Italian and anything in between. If you miss going and not seeing this lively place... More

We had a dinner with a group at the Machada Square on a Saturday night. The square is very attractive in the evening lighting, there were many tables selling wares, music was playing , so it was a very enjoyable evening

Ringed with good restaurants and good family vibes. Less than 1/2 block from the Angela Peralta Theater.
