Owner description: 18-hole championship golf course built in 1996, and designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. The course layout is adjacent to the ocean where six of the holes and fairways are situated right off the beach. Tropical landscaping, clusters of palm trees lining the fairways, strategically placed bunkers, impeccably manicured greens and spectacular views. Estrella Del Mar hosted the 2011 Mexican PGA Championship for the first time May 5-8, just one of only two events held in Mexico on the Canadian Tour's 2011 schedule.

This Robert Trent Jones course is way out of town but right near the airport. It was empty when we played on a Monday. It is a great layout and quite tough, especially the last four holes along the ocean.

the view of the ocean is fantastic, food is good. Tried the tuna, was good, and the clubhouse sandwich was fine. best of all was the view of the ocean. A small 10 km drive from the airport.

Beautiful course on the ocean but very expensive. Not many people on the course (about 7 cars all day). Food at the club was average. Of course the credit card machine broke down just as we finished lunch and we had to pay cash. Just a coincidence, right? Bring pesos.

Beachfront is a large part for the appeal of this first class track. Great greens and gorgeous vistas dominate this one of a kind experience. Reasonable rates will appeal to the novice and experienced golfer alike. Try to break 80 if you can. Good luck.

Love playing this every time I go to Mazatlan. The only time I've had any issue with it is when they are aerating the greens. The service is good and the pricing is reasonable.

The course layout is world class. Each hole is beautiful and has individual charm with some very real golf challenges. Excellent staff and getting better, should be a tour stop for the best players. The ocean views are breathtaking, do not miss this experience.

This golf course is fabulous! Located right on the Ocean, breathtaking views, shrimp boats, dolphins swimming in the surf! Challenging course, super food in the restaurant. The margarita's are one of the best ever tasted and my friend is an aficionado!!!!

Very first time in Mazatlan and the Estrella Del Mar Golf Course. The people are extremely nice and the golf course is pretty challenging and incredible views. I highly recommend it since the fees are quite fair.

This was my second trip to the Estrella Del Mar course in the past year. I understand it's now under new management and some changes may be coming. Overall the course was in good condition and the views are always fantastic. I played 36 holes and had the course to myself for the first 18. Only issue was the roundtrip... More
