Stay in Barra, you can walk to everything. Food was good, especially if you stick to the local places and local cuisine. Not a night life place, but very nice to relax, drink a beer by the beach, and chill.

We arrived in Melaque a town 3 miles from Barra de Navidad. We decided that it would be fun to rent a car and drive to Colima City , maybe do some shopping in Manzanillo . We have rented previously at Crazy Cactus ( in Summer) and although we did email ( no reply) we decided to take the collectivo... More

Barra de Navidad lays as the end of the Bay from the town of Melaque. Although it is sandy, it is very difficult to walk because of often high surf. The best way is via road. Parking is almost always difficult especially in the center of the shopping district.. Excellent place to buy souvenirs and special gifts. The Oaxaca stores... More

Barra is a small town with basically one main street which has restaurants and tourist shops. It's fun for a day. There are a few nice, little hotels right on the ocean.

Enjoyed the ease of walking the town. Lots of shops and restaurants. Boat tours from the Marina. My favorite restaurant here called Sea Master. Take the table over the water. Delightful.

everyone loves Barra because of its little town feel and atmosphere. I highly recommend it to then go to the Isla Navidad and eat, then come back to Barra to the Malecon to watch the sunset.

Barra is a beautiful little town, this would be a location where ones would spend a few month through winter.

This small village brings surfers, old hippies and tourists with lots of character. Fun for easy going travelers who like the sun, as it is always warm/hot.

My husband and I have just returned from the Wyndham at Isla Navidad. The hotel was wonderful and we were treated well by all the staff. We had the all inclusive golf package which was wonderful, there is a mandatory cart and caddie rule, and unknown to us we had to pay the caddies directly ($40). Having never had a... More
