Barra is charming. It's filled with little hotels, laidback cantinas, and excellent seafood restaurants. Most restaurants are on the water. It's also a shoppers delight with everything from tacky souvenirs, swimwear, fishing gear, bottle shops, ice

Over the years, I have spent about 3 years, in total in Barra De Navidad. Been there every month of the year. It was fun at first; But I got too close to a lot of the more "un savory" characters in town. The men; all theives, and rampant Homosexual activity everywhere. They will rip you off every chance they... More

Very small fishing and poor town. I wouldn't eat in any restaurants over there. The whole town is few streets and couple of minutes in the car.

About 40 minutes from Manzanillo, its great for a day trip with lost of small shops with varies products for souvenirs for gifts. Quite a few restaurants! My favorite is Pepes where the seats and table are in the sand. Could be a bit primitive at first glance, but take a look at the immaculate kitchen and you'll see why... More

Stay in Barra, you can walk to everything. Food was good, especially if you stick to the local places and local cuisine. Not a night life place, but very nice to relax, drink a beer by the beach, and chill.

We arrived in Melaque a town 3 miles from Barra de Navidad. We decided that it would be fun to rent a car and drive to Colima City , maybe do some shopping in Manzanillo . We have rented previously at Crazy Cactus ( in Summer) and although we did email ( no reply) we decided to take the collectivo... More

Barra de Navidad lays as the end of the Bay from the town of Melaque. Although it is sandy, it is very difficult to walk because of often high surf. The best way is via road. Parking is almost always difficult especially in the center of the shopping district.. Excellent place to buy souvenirs and special gifts. The Oaxaca stores... More

Barra is a small town with basically one main street which has restaurants and tourist shops. It's fun for a day. There are a few nice, little hotels right on the ocean.

Enjoyed the ease of walking the town. Lots of shops and restaurants. Boat tours from the Marina. My favorite restaurant here called Sea Master. Take the table over the water. Delightful.
