Went there for a weekend with friends, we wanted to try something different and ended up having a great time. The place looks weird on the outside, since it seems like stock on the 80's, but overall they offer a great experience. They took us on a private kayaking/scuba experience and always tried for us to enjoy it and experience... More

My wife and I have made two trips to Manzanillo and made use of the services of the scuba shack and Susan Dearing. I enjoyed my scuba diving and have no complaints about the service, found the dives a relaxing pace and saw underwater sites that I had never seen before. We also used Susan's services to arrange excursions. Did... More

Our family has made several dive trips over the last two years to Manzanillo and the Scuba Shack. We started with snorkeling, which was an excellent experience - great wildlife and a wreck-snorkle all in a day. After that success, we did a discovery dive with the girls, and introduced them to scuba. Fernando was very patient, and kept at... More

There were 9 girls celebrating a birthday in Manzanillo and booked a snorkeling adventure with Scuba Shack and Susan! We had a GREAT time! Susan was so accommodating, she answered all of our questions, she made suggestions and she insured that we all had a wonderful time. There were several people who had never snorkeled and she was extremely patient... More

Our guide Johnathan was great. The boat left about 30-40 minutes late due to launching difficulties, but this kind of delay seems pretty typical of Island or Mexico Time. The snorkeling itself is fair because there is only so much to see, but I think was a fair value. It's really nice that there is almost no boat ride time... More

Thank you Scuba Shack (specifically Susan, Fernando, Jonathan, and Enrique) for making our Thanksgiving Day 2011 a memorable one! We came into port on the Carnival Spirit and had pre-booked a snorkel/scuba excursion with Susan. When we arrived at the shop, Carlos helped us all get fitted with gear (which was great to go out with gear that fits instead... More

We rented 9 sets of snorkeling gear and four were damaged. The owner did not seem to care when we returned the gear and he did not offer to compensate us in any way. We were disappointed...bring your own gear.

The scuba shack is Manzanillos only PADI dive center. According to their website. We chose this dive operation because the dive instructor at our hotel the karmina palace had been overly generous with his "hands-on" approach to my 16 year old. We should just have not gone diving. First of all all of the other negative reports are minimal to... More

We had been working with Susan Dearing from Scuba Shack and were looking forward to our trip by cruiseship to Manzanillo. She had been great in corresponding with us as we finalized details. Unfortunately, Hurricane Jova changed the ship's plans and we had to skip Manzanillo. I was concerned as we had paid our trip in full. I emailed Susan... More

We made an impromptu stop in Manzanillo while backpacking from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta. We had the better part of 30 hours to make the most of our stop. We arrived at our hostel and we welcomed by some Canadian ex-pats; however, we given bad advice as to local tourism. At the 11th hour when we thought that we had... More
