It's a small malecon but with a couple of cool looking ships. It's right downtown and there are several souvenir shops in the area.

It was a quiet and nice time that I spent sitting on a bench, having a soft drink and enjoy the view. The huge marlin statue is amazing. If you are an outgoing person, you can make a good conversation with the locals or just enjoy some music if you carry a music player around. It was a nice stop... More

Not much else to do. Nothing like Pier 39 in S.F. A few shops that sell tourist trinkets, a few dining establishments, the city hall. Not even much action in the harbor (i.e. boats) to look at. Save to walk down. Might be fun on an evening when events are planned (i.e. street faire).

See local monuments along the way. There "mangos on a stick" available. Great swimming on the bay, with Umbrellas, or surfing on the ocean side HUGE WAVES!

During our Mexican Riviera cruise on Carnival Spirit we stopped in Manzanillo. Since we didn't have any excursions booked our plan was to walk along the Malecon and go into town for lunch and souvenir shopping. There hadn't been many reviews of the malecon so we were pleasantly surprised by the nice quiet walk along the very clean waterfront. Your... More

I do a lot of fishing so I like to walk along the malecon. Try to time a walk to be at the local marina, the terra cotta 2 story building right by the train tracks. the local charters come in around noon and you can take a look at the days catch and charter a boat. lots of locals... More

There wasn't much shade along the water front unless you moved to the store fronts.

Manzanillo have fixed up their downtown on the ocean and have a very long malecon along the ocean front and it is in very good shape. You can walk along it and see the navy base, the general ocean front, the cruise dock and the area where all the small fishermen have their boats. An interesting walk
