I met up with Pako at 8am on a Saturday at Playa Miramar. The academy consists of a few portable canopies along the beach where Pako's surf boards are kept for the day. The waves were suitable for beginner to intermediate, with a sandy bottom. I was the only one there at that time and I ended up surfing with... More

We often go for the day, starting with a walk and stopping along the way for a bite to eat or some cervesas. Lots of great little places that are untouched by american tourism. Authentic food, incredible prices. It is very close to our Villa, Villa Paraiso on LaPunta Peninsula, so if you stay in Lapunta you will need a... More

Nice flat lengthy beach, water was relatively calm. Black sand in places - super hot on bare feet! Lots of beach chairs available.

This is a public beach. Lots of locals & vacationers from hotels in town etc. A few hotels are across the street from this beach. It is a great place to hang out for a day. Lots of little shops to buy souvenirs, restauants & bars dot the beach. Fun waves that are great to play in. Long enough beach... More

We took a cab here from our resort since we heard it was the best beach in Manzanillo. It was definitely beautiful with views of the mountains but the day we went it was rougher with huge waves so we enjoyed the boogie boarding but was too rough for my 4 year old to swim in. On a calm day... More

The nicest tropical beach I have ever visited, and I have seen a few. The bay keeps the waves just right, rarely too violent with sections that are perfect for swimming and others that are more adventurous. The vendors are persistent and annoying with little to recomend them though I would reccomend seeing Elsa for a massage near Gran Festivall... More
