An amazing beach but a bit tricky to find. We had a friendly young Mexican guy take is to this beach which is probably 4 easy miles round trip. There are no signs and lots of little roads taking off in all directions. The wild life s zing and we saw wild monkeys! We also saw about a million butterflies... More

Wonderfull beach in the National Park. To reach it you need to rent a lancha, little boat. There is no commercial activity at all: no ships or kiosks or vendors. Just you. Take at least several litres of water. And relax. At around 11 am other people will start arriving. It will never be crowded, there's plenty of space. But... More

We always walk from our condo in Santa Cruz to this beach. I am guessing about five km or so....anyways we start early and head to the trail head, this year marked by a lovely girl cactus, really. There is an alternate route just a bit farther up the road, but we like like nature trail. The trail through the... More

Cacaluta beach is my favorite place in Bahías de Huatulco. The beach is clean and quiet. It is like a private beach. During our honeymoon we rented a boat in Santa Cruz and we spend a half a day there. If you go bring your own food and drinks because there are not restaurants on the beach and don´t forget... More

This is an awesome remote beach accessible only by boat or a hike through the jungle. It is a very large, virtually deserted beach fronting on the jungle.

We stopped here by boat and were the only people on the beach. We didn't see another boat even pass the bay while we swam and had lunch. It's almost unbelievable that a place like this exists so close to towns and resorts. Very special.

Beautiful beach. Be sure to watch the sunrise there in the morning and be sure to bring your camera. stopped to have a beer at one of the local restaurants there one afternoon.

As you have read, most people think Cacaluta beach is only excessible by boat. This is incorrect. This beach boarders the National Park and is accessible by a dirt path that you can bike or walk on. We rented bicycles and a guide from Easy Bikes and had an amazing adventure. This beach will not be accessibe to the public... More

Nice and quite. Better to go there with private boat to stay as much as you want. Diving was fantastic as well

Sweet beach. Go by boat with Tikko, who gives you all the time in the world to swim, walk and enjoy the lovely bays of Huatulco. The 8 hour boat trip with him to all these gorgeous, empty beaches was one of the best experiences of my life.
