The area is a great break, nice square, good food, stores everywhere, shopping in the Huatulco area is a litte more expensive than say PV but the quality is good and the selection is solid. The people are so nice and friendly and don't pressure you as much as other Mexican destinations can.

If you are holidaying in the Huatulco area, do not miss strolling around this typical Mexican town. It is kept very clean and has many typically Mexican shops and businesses because this is where Mexican who work in the area live! Stop and the many fruit and veggy places, buy some fresh tortillas, people watch in the square, visit the... More

we hit a parade so there were way more people in town than normal. Very cute town to do a little shopping and get a meal.

Huatulco is made up of many small hotels and a few, large "All Inclusive" resorts. Break away from the All Inclusive resorts and spend some time walking around the small central town of La Crucecita. Everyone is friendly and wants to help you buy things to take home. Venture into the small enclosed market area, which has mostly souvenirs, T-shirts,... More

La Crucecita is a friendly resort town which has limited facilities to offer to tourists. The main attractions are the main square, the local church which features the world's largest rendering of the Virgin Mary, and the El Museo de Artesania. Around the main square, there are souvenir shops and restaurants lining up on all four sides. It is a... More

We had such a blast in this little town. Sure, there were some pushy vendors but then there were all the amazing little shops in the back streets that really captivated us. We found a blanket making loom factory, grocery stores, chocolate grinding and mixing stores, mezcal museum, the best produce we have ever eaten, including 6 kilos of mahi... More

La Crucecita is a lovely town, well worth the visit. Nice plaza, lovely church, worthwhile market. Taxis to the resorts outside of town are inexpensive.
