There are some really neat places to shop. If you do the City Tour, don't shop a lot where they take you. Instead, wander out there on your own. You will discover some interesting places with good prices. For example, they take you into a weaving shop on the tour. It is extremely interesting to find out how they make... More

Very clean, cool little town. People very friendly, not too pushy like other places in Mexican that we've been. Talk to Carlos, he will point you in any direction you need to go, speaks very good English. And I recommend Charlie if you need a deal on silver! Very safe to walk around, have fun!

Pretty little city, worth a couple hours to visit. Go early morning to avoid extreme heat. If you eat on the beach beware of sand fleas.

One of the cleanest cities I have been to in Mexico. People are friendly but a minor knowledge of Spanish would be helpful. Nice central square. Not the same price deals as bigger areas such as Puerto Vallarta.

We enjoyed the embroidery shops, the liquor tasting, and the coziness of the small city - you cannot get lost. The church is beautiful and I was unable to take pictures of a magnificent ceiling as a service was in session. Although persistent in trying to get us in the shops to buy something, the store owners were not obnoxious... More

I felt safe and I enjoyed the negotiation game with the shop keepers. I took many pictures and did not feel that this was a problem.

Love the church, the fact that there is a market, supermarket, electronic store, post office, pharmacies etc. Did not like the traffic at times.

The food, the people, the ambiance, the flea markets, you got it all, in a secure environment. If you want real, maybe stay away from the tourists stores around the town square and dare to go in the surrounding Streets. Although those streets might not look like home, remember these people don't have our budgets but they have good hearts... More
