We were there in March 2014 and it is a lovely village with lots of shops and restaurants. The church is typical of Mexico's small town churches, simple on the outside and ornate and beautiful on the inside. The town seems divided on the benefits of increased tourism. On one side, tourism brings jobs and money but on the other... More

Beautiful town square if we had been able to see it, but there was a huge demonstration going on with men in masks with bats & machetes and a huge police presence. Unable to get out of the cab and had to return to the resort.

Beautiful little town, lots of shops, most of them have the same things, but great place to pick up your souvenirs to take home. The town can be very hot though during the day, we went around 4:30 pm and walked around for a bit then had supper and walked around some more. Very clean town, felt safe, even on... More

This was our second time to La Crucecita and we loved even more this year. We stayed at a resort and went in to town on a number of occasions. We love all that the town offers, the shops, the street vendors, the restaurants, and the great people. It is very, very hot during the day, so we usually went... More

Great quaint & charming town. Must see. Lot's of great shops & bars, restaurants. Church off the main square is a beautiful authentic Spanish church.

We walk several times to La Crucecita to shop and dine. There is a great place to get ice cream on one of the corners of the square.

Great place, people are extremely friendly - not push at all. Just as all small mexican villages, the markets are similar.

Very clean and well kept. It was odd to find out this town was only 25 years old. It truly looked historic. We walked around and had a few beers and just took in the culture. What a friendly place

There really isn't a lot to see in La Crucecita. The main square and the church across from it are very pleasant but that is about it. There are a number of shops to wander into in the nearby streets, but most of those are full of touristy stuff.
