public beach but used by guests of the Barcelo resort. swimming was good. ended up spending most of the day at Barcelo (bought a day pass) so we could eat and drink. took the city bus from Santa Cruz for 5 peso, but the walk from the 'bus stop' to the beach was VERY long through a small "jungle" and... We always stay at the Barcelo on Tangolunda Bay. The oceanview is absolutely breathtaking. Look for Eduardo Valle Garcia on this beach. He is a very charismatic individual who has his own boat and will take you out to tour the bays of Huatulco, go snorkelling or fishing. We have dealt with him for years and can't even begin to... Beach is maybe 1/2 mile long, shore is quite slanted right at the water, which makes it an effort to walk. The sand is a little coarser than some places, but it is THE beach if your staying in the nearby resorts. There are fish which come right up to the shore on the south end. People feed them daily,... There are several bays in Huatulco and many of them are virgin. This one has some hotels across the bay. On the right side (looking towards the sea) you will find a river that unites with the bay. The sea is calm and you can find some fish if snorkel. You can also do some water sports like canoeing, jet... More

Had a wonderful week spent here. only one day that it was storming too much to visit the beach. We spent a lot of time just looking out over the Bay.

I have heard this is one of the most beautiful bays in Huatulco, I have not visited any other bays in Huatulco, but I sure would like to come back and see. The ocean was beautiful,it wasn't to hard getting in and out of the surf, although I have heard of some having difficulties. The weather is perfect here 340 days... More

no doubt it is pretty to look at. very crowded because most beach hotels are there. not special for swimming or snorkeling. compared to cancun and tulum beaches there is no reason for going to huatulco.
