Maguey is the nicest beach in Huatulco. Go early, grab a seat at El Costeno, have a few drinks, walk the nice long beach, go for a swim, and watch the tour boats come in an un-load the folks doing the seven bay tours. A great place for people watching, sun, and good food/drinks. Enjoy, we have made this an... More

Incredibly beautiful beach. Secluded with nice scenery. Water was wonderful. Cantina was cute but there are lots of fire ants around.

We stopped by Maguey Beach for lunch one day....it is a very busy beach, but very beautiful as well. Lots of vendors on the beach, lots of places to eat. A unique experience. Beautiful water - looks so green.

Be sure to go to Nival del Mar, the food is really good here. The Bay is beautiful and calm and is a great place to snorkel.

Our snorkeling tour guide brought us here for lunch - unepectedly - but we had a nice afternoon. He suggested one restaurant that would cook the fish we had caught while on the way to our snorkeling site. We asked that they cook it the way they thought best and it came back beautifully grilled in a very nice sauce.... More

We stopped here with our 7 bays and snorkeling tour for lunch. Food was excellent, beach was as well. We had tacos. The owner of the restaurant we went to had a golden retriever puppy that was a delight to play with. A few lounge chairs were available at the edge of the restaurant on the beach. Enjoyed swimming here.

Our boat tour on Miguel Avalos' 'Minino'' took us to the beautiful Maguey Bay. The water was perfect for snorkeling. It was very easy to swim along the rocky reef on the left side (looking from the beach). Lots of colorful fish. Perfect day.

Spent a day here. Beach was nice but smaller than expected. It's not far from town, so a short cab ride, but also means more crowded than others. Swimming was fine, but not much here to see for snorkeling, although the water was stirred up and somewhat murky the day we went, so might be better on calmer, less crowded... More

A must for a beach day. Nice sand and relaxing. Be sure to sit at a Palada that has customers so you know the food will be fresh. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. They will even set you up with a table and umbrella on the beach and serve you all day.
