we stopped for a drink at the el Huayacan Restaurant which just off the beach. Very pretty with good margarita and Corona Beer. Perfect finish to a long day of walking around 2 towns. They take Visa and have good Wifi.

This is the perfect place if you are looking for a little get away from your resort. We did a little shopping, and then had a few drinks by the ocean. Very safe, and all the people were very friendly

OK, the little beach is OK, We just wanted to go for a swim. The restaurants and business people make this beach a bit of a pill. I can do without being badgered to buy stuff every minute of my stay.

Our cruise ship docked here for the day and we took advantage of the little village to do some shopping and enjoy some food at a restaurant on the Bay. it was a very special experience. We wanted to rent a jet ski but, decided to just relax in the shade on the beach and then stroll the village. The... More

You can rent a boat for a minimum of 4 hours in the marina in Santa Cruz Bay, and ask the skipper to take you to all of the small Bahias that make Huatulco special. Talk to the skipper before you agree and make sure he understands that you want to travel from bay to bay. You can snorkle in... More

This is where the cruise ships come in and disgorge their clients to sample the local beaches and restaurants. You can also hire a fishing boat by the hour. Bay was a little disappointing, a lot of touristy shops all selling the same thing and the restaurants were not very interesting. Some of the beaches are lovely though. We went... More

We tendered in from our ship that was docked in Bahia Santa Cruz!!!!! Such an unspoiled delight! The people are so wonderful and the town is so charming! A lot of resorts and time shares along the coast that we saw when we took a tour of the island! We will be back.

I was in Huatulco on a 38 night cruise from LA to Copenhagen on the Norwegian Star, and we had just visited other Mexican ports of Cabo San Lucas and Puerta Vallerta. Santa Cruz Bay is quite different as it's totally unspoilt at this point in time. The cantinas, bars and grills along the beach are welcoming and the food... More
